Fossil Fighters - Nintendo DS

So... This is the start of what became of my favorite Game Franchises of all time. You play as a boy who’s appearance depends on what vivosaur (The game will explain that fun bit) you chose as your favorite in the beginning of the game (If you want to play as a Girl, play the sequel-Fossil Fighters Champions or its last game Fossil Fighters Frontier). Then you are on your way to becoming a Master Fossil Fighter. Each “level” has its bosses, and each chapter has its own story that makes a bigger story as you “evolve” in becoming a Master Fighter (Heh. Dino pun.). Along the way, you meet wacky and cool characters like Nick Nack, Woolbeard, and the “helpful” Rosie and Holt. Battle other Fighters, the dreaded (and cartoony) BB Brigade, and the unknown threats called (#NotGonnaSpoilGame)-Just know there is a harder foe, lol. So, grab a copy of the game and voyage Vivosaur Island and play Today! Graphics are comparable to Pokémon games of this time, the graphics of the Battles however are truly remarkable, better at this time than even Super Mario 64 DS! The Story is super good and well done. The Characters are creative and well played out... The Main Boss Fights are good. The Final Boss Battle is just the right speed if you worked hard enough for it. Strategy is the best weapon here, as is knowing the playing field. It’s a lot of fun, and would gladly see any Pokémon player coming to this game.

I love the game, but it took way too long to arrive at my house.

This is a great game for kids. My sons have even more fun now that they each have their own version and can play together. My 16 year-old has rediscovered the game due to his younger brother getting it for Christmas. They say it's the best of the Fossil Fighters 3DS games.

I originally got this because one of my favorite youtubers recommended it, and so far, I really enjoy playing it. The story is fun and just the right amount of ridiculous. The graphics aren’t the best, but the tone of the game make it work, and it’s just a good time all around.

My 6 yr. old son got this game for Christmas. He is a "struggling reader" and this game had LOTS and LOTS of reading. We assumed it was sort of a tutorial at the start, so I sat with him and read, and read, and read. At first, he was very frustrated with all of the words. As he got to playing, and digging bones and gems, creating dinosaurs, having his first battles, he became more excited. The fossil cleaning is fun, and both my kids cheer when they do a good job. The battles are interesting, and you have to think and use strategy. So, all in all, I am pleased with it, and my son has played it enough now that he doesn't require me to read for him anymore, because he understands the basis of the game. I think it is his favorite game.
