    Difficult to obtain ingredients

I didn't even know there was licorice powder available to cook with, licorice roots, grated raw licorice stick or licorice granules.  Golden syrup and 2 oz of licorice toffee and raw licorice pastilles were new ingredients to me. 6-8 drops of liquid licorice aroma and 4 1/2 oz of dextrose for licorice caramels.  2 oz liquid malt and 1 fl oz. of glucose.  It seems like it's from another country than the USA.In the back she thanks her husband for going along with her to Italy, where licorice is grown.First published as Lakrits by Elisabeth Johansson, Bonnier Fakta, Sweden, but now published by Skyhorse Publishing, West 36th Street, New York 10018

Overall a nice book but I bought it partly because the blurb said there was a recipe for licorice fudge. There wasn't!
