Nice Product!
This is a great looking knife. I was really impressed with the look and packing of the product. The handle color is also a great feature. It has this beautiful wood handle which makes gripping easy. You donโt have to worry about the knife falling out of your hand. The knife tends to cut a lot better if you slightly angle it. If not, it still cuts just fine. The stainless-steel blade is very durable and definitely gets the job done. It is great for any type of carving and cutting needs. I found myself using it to cut up my chickens and pork chops. Clean-up is also a breeze. Just use some mild soap and water and you are good to go. Just remember that the knife is sharp. Great knife!

Very nice boning knife.
First off the this knife is extremely sharp. It has a full tine riveted wood handle. The knife has a good heft and balance. It is comfortable to hold. I only handwash my knives so I don't know what putting this knife in a dishwasher would do. It certainly came in handy for tackling the leftover Christmas ham.

Nice knife
Seems like a decent knife. I need to run it through a few racks to get a feeling for how long it holds an edge but it comes well sharpened. Some might find it to be a bit off putting to have oil on the blade when the knife arrives but I think this is done to keep rust away. I recall some knives from germany that my father imported had a similar oil applied. My only reason for not giving it five stars is due to the uneven sharpening done on the blade. Its sharp as hell but someone was a bit aggressive with the sharpening wheel. Either way, my gripe is purely a cosmetic one. I think this would make a fantastic backup knife for a butcher or as a secondary/backup boning knife in the kitchen. I don't want to do a bend test as this type of steel feels like it trades a very sharp edge for a bit more brittleness. I'll update this review if i notice any issues but so far so good.

Somewhat disappointed with the quality
I was somewhat disappointed with the quality of this knife. Particularly worrying was that the tip of the knife had a sharp unfinished barb. I had to use a file to finish it off. Similarly, the wood and metal of the handle aren't smoothly finished - the metal protrudes in a couple of spots. Despite these shortcomings, the blade is razor sharp for sure. While not up to the quality of a Wusthof or Henckels, it will definitely get the job done. Taking everything in to consideration though, it's a good value for the price.

Decently sharp knife, even the flat spots.
Decently sharp knife, even on the top part opposite of the blade. Managed to get 2 cuts before I figured out the top portion was too sharp to put my finger over while doing some cuts. Not even doing any crazy movement with my finger to get the cut. Be cautious.

Good basic Boning knife
Ordered the boning knife and for the price its decent but has room for improvement. The handle is blocky but rounded enough on the edges to be relatively comfortable, I prefer a bit more shaping and that would help to cut down on weight since this knife is very handle heavy. Unfortunately mine also did not have the full tang smoothed out completely. It's not sharp, but if you fun your fingers over it you can feel the edge transition. Grind on this is not great. It is sharp out the box, but the grind is completely uneven up and down the edge and side to side, it will require a bit of work on the whetstone to correct. This knife would be great for a beater, something inexpensive that you don't mind really putting to work. Even though my review sounds harsh, I am still giving it 4 starts as a good everyday boning knife for the price.

Well creafted, but not the flexible knife I'm looking for
When it comes to a boning knife, I've had it drummed into my head over and over by professional chefs that it should be a flexible blade - that's not this one. Apparently boning knives come in more than one variety.... This is a very well crafted, well balanced knife with a quality blade, and I'll certainly get plenty of use from it, but the search for a quality boning knife with a more flexible blade continues. To be clear - this is a quality knife, just not quite the fit I've been searching for... My bad, I should just get out to Sur La Table and try some knives out in person.
