Meet Steven Toast (Matt Berry, The IT Crowd, House of Fools) - actor, ladies' man and aficionado of some of Soho's finest drinking clubs. With the often misguided assistance of his old-school 'retro' agent Jane Plough (Doon Mackichan, Smack the Pony, Plebs) and peculiar flatmate Ed Howzer-Black (Robert Bathurst, Cold Feet, Downton Abbey), Toast faces a multitude of obstacles in his quest for fame and recognition. These include murderous director Acker Herron, arch-nemesis Ray Bloody' Purchase, submarines, Bruce Forsyth lookalikes, obsessive hoarders, Freemasonry, and the real Michael Ball. Review: Great comedy! - This was much better than I expected and I really enjoyed it. Highly recommended! Review: Very funny, enjoyable, addictive and re-watchable. - Got me hooked over several evenings in binge watching. 6 episodes on each of the 3 series + fine added value on each disc: Outtakes on every disc + 2 full commentaries on each of the first two series, with the third series having several worthy Behind the Scenes featurettes. The amount of cameos in the last episode seems to show how respected this production became. Would have loved it if Ideal stars Emma Fryer and Sinead Matthews got more screen time. Very happy with the purchase and will happily watch it again some day.

Steven Gonville Toast
Well,to be quite honest Toast of London (in my opinion) is an absolute masterpiece. I've watched it several times, all 19 episodes and I decided I'd better buy it before the P.C. brigade try to get it banned. A truly wonderful creation. Still waiting for Series 4 and if there ever is one I'll have to buy that too.

Marmite?
I think that Matt Berry is a bit like Marmite. You either love him or hate him. Personally, I love Toast with a thick layer of Marmite. It's a shame that so many people have not heard of him. Not only is he funny he's a good actor, unlike Toast. If you like to laugh, and who doesn't, and you've not heard of Toast, give it a go. Then move on to 'What we do in the shadows'. If all fails try beakeeping.

Steven it's Clem fandango...can you hear me
Toast of London originally shown on channel 4 I missed it when it aired but watched it on all4 really funny Matt berry plays the part of jobbing actor Stephen toast Good cameos by other actors songs by Matt berry in episodes It's a funny show if you like father Ted black books and Garth meranghis dark place give it a go. The current toast of Tinseltown is no way as good as these series so don't judge it by current series Just purchase this box set and enjoy the comedy on offer Hope this helps

Top stuff
If you like Toast then this box set is essential, really enjoyed bingeing all eps, and there's plenty of extras (outtakes, commentaries etc) to make it worth the expense.

Worth watching.
I never heard of tis and wasn't familiar w/ the lead actor. It took a few episodes to get into it, but I'm glad i did. Very understated comedy, and hysterical moments through out. Well worth the time and cost.

Bought that because I miss IT crowd. Not the same (no surprise), but also very funny
I miss the „ou a gun, I wonder if it’s loaded“ mentality, but still many funny new lines: „Seems like an eternity, but was less then half an hour“ :-) Also Reynholm, aaah Toast seems to be always in luck with the ladies.

Funny series - wish there was more
Was worth getting a new region free player for (was like $40 only) - i also got the mighty boosh and year of the rabbit. Really funny series - Matt Berry at his best!

Burnt toast!
Je ne comprends pas les bonnes revues sur imdb. Aprés 3 épisodes nous avons demandé d'être remboursé. Vraiment médiocre. Gaspillage du temps et l'argent!
