Artist Toolbox: Color: A practical guide to color and its uses in art

This was an excellent book on color theory for artists. This book covers all the usual color concepts you would find in an artist's color book and more. What was different about this color book was the step by step instructions to paint four landscapes and still life. By painting the demonstrations yourself you really learn the concepts.I highly recommend this book to an aspiring artist of any medium.Another book in this series is “Painting Tools & Materials”. I have written a detailed review of this book as well. If you only plan to purchase one I would purchase the book on color. Great tool for assisting artists in expanding color blending knowledge.

Good overview information regarding painting and colors but there are quite a few errors with the printing/ labeling of colors and definitions

I have been painting for five years, and still haven't learned color theory. This book helped me take my art to a new level. Im still going through it, tretaing the book as a course, but I love it. A very good, creative buy!

An excellent course on color theory.  I would recommend this to any artist or artisan in any field.  It includes a great deal of reference material and it's something that should be on the shelf of anyone who uses color to communicate.I received this book as part of a NetGalley giveaway in exchange for an honest review.

Incredible amount of useful information in a tiny book

Not helpful, at least for me. Nothing interesting to learn from.
