Used to attach cedar fence pickets to rails. I did use pilot holes to prevent the wood from splitting but I could of just driven the screws straight in if I wished. The screw heads did not strip, they went in easily using a normal drill. Good price, quick shipping, good value.

Perfect for my new 60' fence project

It says that you don't have to Pre drill, but I had to when using my impact drill on Pressure Treated Wood. Some would not go all the way in. Then when I tried to back them out they would not come out. I ended up cutting them off. Very Frustrating.

These screws give a good bite when screwing into treated lumber. The screws seat well and seem to have a good finish coat of paint on them. I found that about 3 to 5 of the screws in the box are defective, and that is not awful at all. Quite remarkable if you ask me. The screws are higher in price but I see that everything has gone up in the past few years. I'm using these to reinstall a fence on my property and will go through about 8,000 in all. So far I'm very pleased with the outcome.
