By changing to the new firmware, this DVRs have changed to the best quality.(1) This DVRs are comfortable to read and write, because the cache can be cleared every day with the auto-reboot function.(2) This DVRs are easier to operate, because the icon display has become larger.(3) This DVRs save time, because only the search data is automatically played back.(4) This DVR has been upgraded to the performance of 2021.

I have always considered LTS professional/commercial grade and used and recommended LTS DVR & NVR units for years. This unit, LTS cut costs compared to previous units. No feet included on unit. Can't even mount previous feet without drilling holes on the foot mounting locations. Unit feels flimsy compared to previous units. SATA cables should be right angle connections, but are not. I expect cable failures due to "crimping" of the cables. Supplied screws are way too short to mount drives as intended (Poor engineering). It does come with a remote, but NO AAA batteries. Sorry, but that's just cheap and poor customer attention. LTS has dropped from superior equipment to mediocre. I can no long suggest or recommend their products. There are too many other "average" components available for a much lower price point.Update 5/3/2022After using this unit for roughly 3 months, it loses a star. After configuring and re-configuring, I find it is worse that I thought. Previously simple tasks, are now non-sensical and complicated. For example simply changing the camera name is no longer a click/edit and save. Reconfiguring HDD usage now gets a message "HDD property cannot be edited in current storage mode". No where is there a hint of what that means. I have tried multiple changes to change the configuration, unsuccessfully. The manual is a poorly translated document, of zero use. For a user friendly unit, select a different brand.
