Quick verdict If you want effortless, stable humidity and temperature without the bulk or noise of a compressor unit, this humidor is a winner. Thermoelectric cooling keeps conditions steady, it looks sharp, and it’s simple to maintain day to day. What I loved Consistent humidity control: Once seasoned and dialed in, it held my target RH rock‑solid with minimal babysitting. I spent more time enjoying and less time tinkering. Quiet operation: The thermoelectric system is whisper‑quiet — no noticeable vibration and no hum that intrudes on the room. Clean, modern design: The glass door and neat lines make it display‑worthy. It feels premium without trying too hard. Even airflow: Shelves and space allow good circulation, so sticks age evenly instead of hot spots drying out some while others over‑humidify. Performance and consistency Day to day, the unit kept both temperature and RH within tight bands, even with door openings. Readings were predictable, recovery was quick, and my cigars felt consistently pliable and aromatic — exactly what you want for reliable aging and ready‑to‑smoke condition. Build and design The build feels sturdy and aligned; the door seals well, and the fit and finish are solid. The interior layout is practical, with room for trays or organizers. The overall look is sleek yet understated, which blends easily into an office, lounge, or living room. Capacity and organization Capacity is ample for an enthusiast: enough room for everyday smokes, special occasion sticks, and a few boxes. With simple dividers or cedar trays, it’s easy to keep blends and regions organized without sacrificing airflow. Noise and energy use The thermoelectric system runs quiet and sips power compared to compressor‑based coolers. It’s ideal if you keep the humidor in a shared space where noise matters. Value For the stability, design, and ease of use, the value is strong. You get premium‑adjacent performance at a reasonable price point, especially considering the set‑it‑and‑forget‑it convenience. Small nitpicks The stock hygrometer can be off a few points; a quick calibration (or a reliable external gauge) solves it. Like any humidor, initial seasoning matters — take the time to do it right and you’ll reap the benefits. Tips for best results Calibrate your hygrometer and confirm with a dependable external gauge. Use Spanish cedar trays/dividers to help stabilize RH and improve aroma. Place packs or a well‑regulated humidifier where airflow is good; avoid blocking vents. Give it 24–48 hours to settle after stocking before fine‑tuning to your preferred RH. Final thoughts I loved using this humidor because it made cigar care easy and dependable. The KingChii Thermoelectric Humidor delivers steady conditions, a quiet footprint, and an attractive design — a smart buy if you want performance without fuss. Review: Amazing for the Price! - I'm borrowing some of what another reviewer said because he hit it dead on! I purchased the 48L-V because I needed (wanted) larger storage space for my cigars. I really like the fact that this unit has the heating and cooling... Seen many other similar items online, but I haven't found one anywhere near this price that also does heating. The shelves and drawer can be moved to different parts of the cabinet as necessary (or removed) and there is plenty of space to place humidification devices (one or more... I would recommend Boveda). KingChii customer service have been awesome when I needed them because I thought my unit wouldn't heat above 65deg. They assured me it will and to give it time and now its great! Pros: - Spanish Cedar drawer and shelves - Cooling/heating - Very stable temperature control - Plenty of air movement provided by the internal fan - Looks amazing! - Quiet... there is more noise when adjusting temps for the first time or after a significant temp change selection (while cooling) but just a slight whir while running 99+% of the time Cons: - As stated by other reviewers, need to open the door all the way to slide out the shelves (minor inconvenience but.....). Would be nice if could switch door hinge from one side to another also. - Single internal light means that it typically can't illuminate the majority of the cabinet. This makes sense and not much you can do. - My Temperature off by about 2 degrees...this is after much time allowed for stabilization and measured with a calibrated thermometer. Not big deal at all because I have Govee units that tell me temp and humidity so I don't care what display says. This humidor is a must buy!... the quality, value, and support are top notch. Thank you!! Thank you!! KingChii ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice, spacious, stable humidor! *by J***L on May 21, 2023* I have been evaluating this humidor for KingChi a few weeks now and I am pleased to report that I have been thrilled with the performance! Upon arrival, I unpacked the unit and got it set up. Everything is fully assembled and ready to go. Plug and play. The hardest part was deciding where it would live! This model is quite tall, too large to be a countertop model if you have cabinets overhead, so plan on having some floor space if you go with this model or the larger one. After unboxing, I set the temperature to 70 degrees and decided to see how long it would take to get the humidor seasoned using only distilled water. A water tray is provided if you prefer to use this method. I typically us 69% Boveda in my desktop humidor and although that and my sticks are well seasoned, I wanted to overshoot my humidity a bit before loading the new humidor. After about 5 days the humidor was up to 72% humidity. The included hygrometer's measurements were spot on when compared with my calibrated digital hygrometer. Once up to humidity I threw in a couple boxes of sticks, topped off the distilled water, and tossed in a few 69% Boveda packs. The next morning the humidity had stabilized to 69%. I have been monitoring the temperature and humidity three or four times a day for a couple of weeks now and both measurements have remained rock solid with no fluctuation! The unit is whisper quiet. So quiet that I was initially concerned it may not be functioning! I can't even tell when it's running unless I am right on top of it. On top of that, the unit is very sleek and attractive. It will look like it belongs wherever you choose to put it. The tinted glass door seals precisely and provides adequate protection while allowing you to easily monitor humidity and gaze upon your collection. While I have not had any issue with the product that required support, I must say that I have been in communication with KingChi since receiving the product. The communication has been friendly, kind, and supportive. If this is any indication, I am certain they're providing top notch customer support as well! If you are looking for an affordable, low maintenance, hassle free way to keep your growing collection in optimal condition then I would strongly recommend checking out the KingChi line of products.
