I'm borrowing some of what another reviewer said because he hit it dead on! I purchased the 48L-V because I needed (wanted) larger storage space for my cigars. I really like the fact that this unit has the heating and cooling... Seen many other similar items online, but I haven't found one anywhere near this price that also does heating. The shelves and drawer can be moved to different parts of the cabinet as necessary (or removed) and there is plenty of space to place humidification devices (one or more... I would recommend Boveda). KingChii customer service have been awesome when I needed them because I thought my unit wouldn't heat above 65deg. They assured me it will and to give it time and now its great! Pros: - Spanish Cedar drawer and shelves - Cooling/heating - Very stable temperature control - Plenty of air movement provided by the internal fan - Looks amazing! - Quiet... there is more noise when adjusting temps for the first time or after a significant temp change selection (while cooling) but just a slight whir while running 99+% of the time Cons: - As stated by other reviewers, need to open the door all the way to slide out the shelves (minor inconvenience but.....). Would be nice if could switch door hinge from one side to another also. - Single internal light means that it typically can't illuminate the majority of the cabinet. This makes sense and not much you can do. - My Temperature off by about 2 degrees...this is after much time allowed for stabilization and measured with a calibrated thermometer. I have been evaluating this humidor for KingChi a few weeks now and I am pleased to report that I have been thrilled with the performance! Upon arrival, I unpacked the unit and got it set up. Everything is fully assembled and ready to go. Plug and play. The hardest part was deciding where it would live! This model is quite tall, too large to be a countertop model if you have cabinets overhead, so plan on having some floor space if you go with this model or the larger one. After unboxing, I set the temperature to 70 degrees and decided to see how long it would take to get the humidor seasoned using only distilled water. A water tray is provided if you prefer to use this method. I typically us 69% Boveda in my desktop humidor and although that and my sticks are well seasoned, I wanted to overshoot my humidity a bit before loading the new humidor. After about 5 days the humidor was up to 72% humidity. The included hygrometer's measurements were spot on when compared with my calibrated digital hygrometer. Once up to humidity I threw in a couple boxes of sticks, topped off the distilled water, and tossed in a few 69% Boveda packs. The next morning the humidity had stabilized to 69%. I have been monitoring the temperature and humidity three or four times a day for a couple of weeks now and both measurements have remained rock solid with no fluctuation! The unit is whisper quiet. So quiet that I was initially concerned it may not be functioning! I can't even tell when it's running unless I am right on top of it. On top of that, the unit is very sleek and attractive. It will look like it belongs wherever you choose to put it. The tinted glass door seals precisely and provides adequate protection while allowing you to easily monitor humidity and gaze upon your collection. While I have not had any issue with the product that required support, I must say that I have been in communication with KingChi since receiving the product. The communication has been friendly, kind, and supportive. If this is any indication, I am certain they're providing top notch customer support as well! If you are looking for an affordable, low maintenance, hassle free way to keep your growing collection in optimal condition then I would strongly recommend checking out the KingChi line of products. With many sizes to choose from, you are sure to find something that will work for you!!!

Been running it full of stogies for a month, less a week for seasoning . I'm generally happy. Internal temp taken with individual thermometers on each shelf are within 4 degrees of display temp. I can live with that. It's runs infrequently and very quietly. The provided lighting is useless, but a $10 subsequent amazon purchase for some led strip lights turn this into a beautiful display case. Mine is jammed full, wish I had ordered a larger one. Shelf/drawer arrangements are limited for rotating once you have this thing jammed full. I made an extra self from Spanish cedar to maximize storage. Barely wide enough for Churchill. Himidipaks are best for maintaining RH. Update. 10 months after purchase. I'm still pretty pleased. My initial status as a cigar novice has advanced substantially. I'm buying boxes at $300-$400 per 10 -20. Vitolas Robusto and Torpedo. THE BOXES WONT FIT WIDTH WISE. VERY DISAPPOINDED in that aspect. Otherwise, good humidor for unboxed cigars.

I have 3 of these KingChii cigar coolers of which two are the 16L & one is the 23L all manufactured early to mid year 2023, and have had them over 1 year. The best one has a manufactured January 10, 2023, and has been functioning flawlessly for over 1 year holding a perfect temperature of 69 F with Boveda packs at 69% for humidity all measured with a calibrated Govee humidity sensor, and also temperature thermometer of which the settings on the King Chii match perfectly for the past 1 & 1/2 years! NOW, fast forward 2024 what happened! I now have a new King Chii manufactured March 2024, and it makes an intermittent very audible squealing sound that is terrible, and does not hold the temperature with 3-4 degrees change periodically per day. Worst of all the newly added HEATING component is causing condensation water on areas of the interior & the bottom of the cooler which is not cool at all, and was destroying my cigars. I have this year 2024 model set at 63 F & no matter how low I set it the temperature won’t go lower than 70.3 Degrees F. Obviously I can not use it, and I am returning it. You do NOT HEAT cigars, this causes condensation in the unit to destroy your cigars. The old models only cooled / refrigeration only. Why do manufacturers change design & functionality when the prior product worked so flawlessly before?

This is my 2nd king chii unit... I purchased the 33L from another site and came to love it so much that I needed (wanted) even more stable storage space for my cigars so I got the 48L reviewed here. I was EXTREMELY hesitant to make this purchase! Also, I cannot attest as to its longevity. However, it does what it is supposed to do with absolute perfection! All emails before and after purchase have been answered within hours of sending. The communication with KingChii has been outstanding which is much better than most companies! They have provided answers to ALL of my questions in a timely and friendly manner. The humidor arrived a day early well packaged in a very stout and thick box with plenty of styrofoam protection around it. Not knowing how long the temperature control would last, I am paranoid about not having any circulation. I drilled a hole into the bottom (it is well insulated) and ran a 12V wire and used silicone seal in the hole. A 40mm computer fan is mounted on the inside top facing forward to provide a tiny bit of circulation. It is on a timer that comes on every 6 hours for 10 minutes. I wanted to do this in case the unit electronics failed. It would still make a great humidor as long as the room temperature was OK. After seasoning for 4 days with a cup (included) of distilled water, I added Boveda packs to stabilize it for a week. Then I added about 250 cigars which is about all I can get in it. Most are 54 ring gauge. I’m using 4 Boveda 320g 69% packs in it. Two are mounted to the top and two are on their sides behind the 2 bottom trays. With the humidor set at 68F degrees, it is absolutely rock steady at holding temperature to plus or minus 0.3 degrees which is astounding! I am using a calibrated SensorPush for monitoring temperature and humidity. With the humidor set at 69F, it holds the temperature between 69.7F to 70.2F degrees. Room temperature varies from 69F to 73F. The humidity, measured on all three levels, ranges from 68.9% to 69.3%. I couldn’t ask for better from ANY humidor! Negatives? You do have to open the door all the way to pull a drawer out. That’s it! It’s not a problem at all. I can only hear a very slight noise if the room is totally quiet and I get within 2 feet of the humidor and listen for it! I have it on a table and, to keep it from moving when I open the door, placed some “Blu Tack” under the feet. Oh yes, not that I would trust it, but the analog hygrometer mounted on the one drawer is only off by 1%! I am, so far, EXTREMELY happy with this humidor and see another one in the future.

This humidor arrived quickly with some damage to the box, but no damage to the actual humidor, as it is packaged very well for shipping. My humidor did not have the plastic smell described by other reviewers, it just smelled nicely of Spanish cedar. I cleaned it well and spent three days seasoning the cedar shelves by placing my electronic humidifier inside the unit. I then loaded the humidor up, over the course of several days, to not overwhelm my humidifier. Now fully loaded with 6 boxes and 75 single cigars, it holds the set temperature well and the humidity is staying constant at my set level of 70%. The top mounted light inside the humidor is pretty much useless once the top shelf is loaded up, as the shelf blocks any light from reaching the lower levels, but that is my only complaint. For my high elevation and lower temperature Canadian location this humidor is working perfectly to maintain proper temp and humidity for preserving my valuable collection of premium cigars. It's quiet, And it looks great!

I recently purchased two KingChii electrical humidors, and I have to say I am extremely impressed! First off, the shipping was incredibly fast, and both units arrived in perfect condition. The packaging was sturdy, ensuring everything stayed safe during delivery. Setting up the humidors is a bit of a process, so I'm still working on getting them ready to use as it may take a few days to properly set everything up and stabilize the humidity. However, the digital display is fantastic—clear, easy to read, and very functional. The interior lighting is a nice touch as well, adding a great ambiance and making it easy to check on your cigars. One thing to note is that there was a bit of a plasticky smell when I first opened the humidors, but following the instructions in the manual has been helping to get rid of it, so it’s not a big issue.
