Audeze MM-100 Over Ear Open Back Planar Magnetic Headphones - Wired (Black)

If you are a music lover like me, you will not want to take these off. I love all types of music, and these seem to work with everything from death metal to Dvorak. The real test for me is listening to the canon fire in the 1812 Overture. Most headphones completely distort this. These? Impactful and totally clean. You may feel like you want to duck! At this point I have listened to a broad range of music styles, acoustic guitar, soloists, classic rock, opera, experimental. These headphones are clean and transparent. Plenty of bass without the unnatural emphasis found in most. Just clean, "like you are there" music. These may be costly but to me worth every penny!

The Audeze MM-100s deliver exactly what you expect from Audeze: clean, detailed, spacious sound with that open-back clarity that makes music feel alive. Everything from vocals to bass lines comes through effortlessly, and they’re fantastic for long listening sessions. Comfort is excellent — the ear pads feel great, weight is balanced, and the clamping force isn’t too tight. I can wear these for hours with zero fatigue. One design feature I really appreciate is the dual-sided cable ports. Being able to plug in on either side makes setup way more convenient and keeps the cable out of the way depending on how your workspace is arranged. They are definitely on the pricey side, but the quality matches the cost. If you’re looking for a professional open-back headphone that blends comfort, sound quality, and thoughtful design, these are a solid choice.

Worst over ear headphones I’ve ever tried. I’ve always wanted an Audeze headphone. I ordered these and they were all I thought about. I got the box, popped it open… not bad. I dislike the headband. You can’t adjust it very much. Headphones that are way cheaper do that much better. It resembles the Maxwell which is a gamer set. Thumbs down. They were a bit heavy, but not in an uncomfortable way, but that circular A grill is incredible. It looks so smooth and modern. It’s definitely an Audeze in terms of looks. That tan/grey finish is unforgettable as well. They seem built well enough to take falls, they worked just fine, and the cord was a decent length for most people. Speaking of, Audeze always has the dual channel cups with that sick wire they ship with their more expensive variants. This one has dual 3.5 mm inputs for the headphones, but you only plug the cable in one side? You mean I can’t use a balanced cable with this one? Who thought that was a good idea? Who hurt you? Just give me my dual inputs man! I like that. Why design it to be plugged in on either side? This really triggered me. So I got over it and plugged it in my dac and boy the sound…I couldn’t wait to try the famous Audeze house bass. It’s not here. What about the crisp airy tonality that planars are known for? Not here. Eq makes it shouty, or dull. There is no in between. It’s very mid forward but in the dullest way possible. It’s the only time I received a pair of cans, and put in to return them the same day. 8 hours was spent getting no tone whatsoever. It was a bad experience from a brand I’d always wanted. I’m hesitant to give them a try again in the future. At this price you have sooooo many better options. I would never even think about thinking of recommending this one. Simply dreadful. I’d rather listen to cheese. The cups look awesome. That’s it. Bad Audeze, bad.

I really enjoy the reference style sound, came from HD6XX and AKG K712 Pro's. My first planar magnetic. Being driven by a Schiit Hel+ sounds incredible for music, movies and almost a cheat code for FPS games. I am able to hear people much further away than before and with more accuracy.

Arrived on time in excellent condition that is well packed. Really, really great sound quality and after a few minutes I thought these sounded like electrostatics at many times the price. Comfort good for heavy phones, lovely braided long tangle free cord. Value for money 4.5/10... Sexy to look at as well;)

The sound from these is fine and the overall build quality of the cans is good. the headband is trash it is rigid and does not conform to your head. the stock cable is trash super thin and long cable with a quarter inch end. i have not decided if I am replacing the pads yet. audeze claims it is real leather pads. it feels like vegan leather to me. i have lcd 2's with real leather and it feels nothing like them and my ears get hot wearing the mm-100's. in addition I have wide ears. my ears touch the mesh inside the cup that covers the driver. it is not a big deal but it does rub with extended use. generally these are a good set of cans but ,for the price they are. needing a new strap, cable, and pads to make them comfortable/usable, makes them a questionable choice.

Ok let me start by saying I’m listening to music as I write this review.. These are studio tuned so out of the box they sound very good but with EQ sound incredible for music listening and not just for mixing/ mastering. I have owned LCD3’s in the past but eventually sold them because of their darker upper treble. I loved the soundstage and bass but to my ears they lacked life. Enter the much lower priced MM100. I did a lot of research about their strengths and weaknesses and studied their frequency response graph. What I saw were several easy fixes. These now go head to head with my Sennheiser HD 800 cans. Super fast and resolving, no distortion after EQ with deep articulate bass and smooth highs. The midrange was always good but now even better. In my opinion outside of soundstage size I prefer them to the much pricier LCD3. Yes the only caveat is a very average sized soundstage compared to over $1000.00 open backs however the sound signature punches WAY ABOVE their price. They can sound great with almost all music genres. I think you can tell I highly recommend the MM100 with EQ.. would still consider them without given their technical merits. Anyone interested in my settings just ask.

Compare HD 650, HD 660 s2, SRH 1540 con este modelo. Para mezcla definitivamente, más definidos, mejores medios, agudos, moderados pero reveladores. Emparejados con monitores Hs7 Yamahas, es como tenerlos en los oídos, claramente el soundstage es algo menor a la de los monitores, pero es muy buena, ya que son abiertos. La claridad íntima de cada instrumento es sorprendente. Es la actualización que hago de unos DT 770 pro 80 ohm, comparados con grandes de la mezcla. El balance no le pide nada contra los rivales que mencione. Para el uso que le dare house, pop y hip-hop es la mejor opción, la claridad y punch es la mejor parte. Para una escucha más relajada, los HD 650 más cálida y disfrutable hasta películas y juegos. En construcción no hay comparación, materiales rígidos, presentación para su costo a diferencia de los demás, el cable fantástico, trenzado muy chulo. Pesan talvez el doble que los demás que mencione, me acostumbrare porque igualmente las almohadillas comodisimas y la banda tambien.

音質に関しては 素人に毛が生えた程度なので省略します。ケーブルは片出しの3.5mm3極が純正で付いているアンバランス接続ですが、ヘッドホン側はバランス3.5mm4極に対応しており バランス接続ができます。私はFostexから販売している3.5mm4極TRRS→4.4mm5極で問題なく使えてます。右指しでも左指しでも大丈夫です。不明ですが3.5mm3極の両側刺しはバランス接続には対応していないと思います。

Superbe produit. Ce casque offre une qualité de fabrication, une qualité de finition exceptionnelle. Si le casque est plutôt lourd il est néanmoins ultra confortable. Le poids est bien réparti sur l’arceau tandis que les coussinets épais épousent les oreilles. Le diamètre des oreillettes laissent une grande place aux oreilles ce qui rend le casque très confortable. Néanmoins sur de longues sessions d’écoute le poids fini quand même par être un peu fatiguant. Pour le prix le casque est sincèrement exceptionnel. Malheureusement l’écoute est décevante. Ce casque est idéal pour travailler sur les bruits de bouche le declicking etc. Probablement très pratique pour le contrôle du haut du spectre par sa précision et sa brillance. Mais pas au-delà. En effet le son délivré par ce casque est beaucoup trop déséquilibré au point de bouleverser les timbres.
