Couldn’t believe the lathering created from this shaving product, made my double edge razor slide so smoothly with no cuts, no acnes and it smells so clean and neat, definitely recommend it.

Soy fiel usuario de Mitchell's Wool Fat desde hace años, ya que para mi piel me van mejor los jabones con base de sebo. Y por eso precisamente me dio por probar el jabón de Goodfellas Smile. Al abrir el tarro, el primer aroma que percibes es a vainilla, con toques anisados. Eso me hizo sospechar que quizás me habría confundido, ya que no soporto los aromas anisados y dulzones en general. Pero no, en la aplicación de la espuma en la cara ese toque desaparece para dejar paso a un aroma limpio, moderno, sofisticado... Lástima que no tenga más presencia, pero un 8 en este aspecto. Es un jabón mórbido, de fácil carga en brocha (unos 20 - 30 segundos con la brocha húmeda carga suficiente para tres pasadas), y que no requiere especial trabajo para lograr una buena espuma. Eso sí, no es tragón y no precisa demasiada agua, con la humedad de la brocha y unas pocas gotas consigues buena cantidad de espuma. Un 9 en este punto. Y en la cara, se nota que la maquinilla desliza muy bien, deja una capa de espuma si bien no muy densa si muy lubricante. Muy protectora y eficaz. Ni una irritación. En este aspecto, otro 9. En definitiva, un jabón muy pero que muy bueno para los que buscamos alternativas a otros jabones con base de sebo (aunque el MWF sigue siendo imbatible y mi favorito).

First time user of shave soaps, switching from Nivea shave gels. First off, it smells good, got here quick. I'm not really into tobacco portion of the scent though, that was on me for not noticing that portion of the scent layer, so I might order a different one and pass this one to my dad. I used this with an the art of shaving, which I believe is just a rebranded R89 closed comb handle and I loaded it with a hi-stainless steel feather blade. I applied preshave oil and then took aboutthe amount of the first half of a index finger amount and smeared it on the bottom of a rice bowl. (Now hear me out ..I know a rice bowl isn't ideal for mixing because it's a smooth surface, but it's all I have on hand atm). I let a proraso brush sit in warm water for about a minute before shaking off any excess and mixing, it took me a while due to the smooth surface of the bowl before it started to finally get a thin coat on the brush (the amount I used was only enough to make a thin but consistent layer brushed on my neck and upper cheek). What I like about this is that with my thumb, if the lather goes on thin enough, I can draw a clean line from my upper ear canal down to my lip line, following my natural cheek line to shave everything above the line. The shave itself felt smooth, I did have to do a few passes and redos because this was a first time using a feather blade after using a different one for a while, I didn't get any knicks or cuts and I didn't feel any drag that caused razor burn, on my neck I usually go against the grain about I reapplied for a second pass when most of my thicker week long stubble was gone, now that the shave was more on the skin is where it got interesting as the razor started having a satisfying glide, so for next time I know to go a little thicker on the lather for the neck. My neck feels baby smooth, I really like that I can control the consistency better than a gel, if there was an aqua version of this scent that opts out of the tobacco note I'd easily make it a regular purchase, but I've currently ordered another with the orange scent and maybe next time I might try the sea salt/lemon one. All-in-all, very satisfied with this.
