The Tao of Tea, Genmaicha Green Tea And Toasted Rice, Loose Leaf, 3.5 Ounce Tin

Total novice green tea drinker. I do love this one. It’s a very comforting toasted rice flavor. The green tea doesn’t get harsh even if you brew it too hot. I resteep this once.

Great tea, beautiful packaging, amazing price! I am so happy I chose this brand for green tea with toasted rice. It’s really good quality and makes delicious tea. A little goes a long way so having 3.5 oz on hand is plenty for a long time. I am so impressed with this company, will purchase other flavors for sure. They will make lovely gifts as well! I have friends who love green tea but, surpringly, never tried it with toasted rice. This will be a treat for them and a great intro to such a comforting tea. The tin is well designed, lovely, and reusable. Will make a great spice jars or other small things.

I got this as a gift for a tea ceremony. It was well received and everyone had a good time. I recommend it as a good brand to grab.

Tao of Tea is very hit or miss. I had a Wuyi Oolong that was more twig than tea and a Sencha that was flat and stale, but I decided to try one more flavor and got this Genmaicha, and it's delicious. It smelled wonderful when I opened it and brewed nicely too. The flavor is great for at least two infusions, and I can go for a third although it might not be strong enough for some people. Other reviews from earlier this spring have stated theirs were flat and stale and might have been an older batch; so buying Tao of Tea means you might not always get a good batch, which of course is not reliable and not a good way to sell tea. So I'm not sure if I will reorder this tea, even though the batch I happened to get was, luckily, good. I've got two bad batches of other flavors from them as I mentioned, so they're not high on my list. Stash has organic loose leaf teas that are consistently good although they don't have quite the variety of flavors. I'm looking forward to being able to go back to a tea shop once social distancing is lifted and smell/taste/buy directly, but if you have to buy tea online for the time being and you'd like a good Genmaicha, this Tao of Tea one (I ordered in late May 2020) is a good batch at least.

I really like the flavor of this rice tea. I've been drinking brown rice tea for years so this is a staple for me. The flavor is good and I like the packaging. I usually get two steeps from a half tablespoon. I give it to my dog as well to help with inflammation. I would buy this again.

Delicious, excellent quality tea. There is no shortage of rice like other brands. The taste is wonderful. If you haven’t had genmaicha it is almost a savory tea. It has a toastiness from the rice, but maintains some bright flavor from the green tea. By far my favorite. Highly recommend!

It's a lightly flavored tea. It has more rice than I expected and the flavor is satisfactory, but nothing to write home about. I don't know if I could really taste the toasted rice. I usually steep green teas for 30-60 seconds tops. Maybe a longer steep would release more rice flavor but the risk is bitter grean tea. It has a clean taste, but too overpriced for a daily drinker.

Great value for money. Its not the best genmaicha out there but for the price there is nothing like it.

It's definitely personal taste, but I didn't like the smell or the flavour of this one.

I don’t enjoy the flavour of green tea, but the roasted rice balances the flavour very nicely. Enjoying it. And the package is so pretty.
