Important supplement
My senior dog has a number of medical issues, including liver, heart, kidney and dental disease. His diet is severely restricted because of these, and he was steadily losing weight. He could no longer eat kibble, and had no interest in the special or prescription diets suggested by his vets. I added small amouts of the gel on his food, and he gradually became more interested in eating. He's slowly regaining weight and acts as though he's feeling better. The gel looks like and has the consistency of brown gravy, smells like bacon, is ready for use, and does not require refrigeration. The bag has a handle and a resealable cap, so it is very convenient to use. It is rather expensive, but it is the only thing I've found to improve my dog's metabolic status.

Helps improve appetite
We got this for our cat that seemed to be very picky about eating. I had my doubts, but it actually has helped improve her appetite.

Dogs love the taste
My dogs are very picky eaters. I was spending way too much money trying to find a food all 3 would eat that gave them what they needed and throwing most of away when 1 or all refused or got sick. When one of my girls had a litter, she was struggling to keep weight on then randomly stopped producing milk. I needed something to get my girl feeling good again. It’s only been a few days but she is already feeling better and producing milk. This has been amazing.

Helps my senior pupper
My senior baby had dropped way too low in weight, multiple vet visits later she has a completely clean bill of health. She was never found driven, or really even concerned, but as she grew older this led to her getting way too skinny and frail. She would eat anything I put in front of her, just not enough and not consistently in order to maintain weight. With the first bag of weight gainer she has been consistently emptying her bowl and licking it clean again, she's re-gained 3-4 pounds and her coat has gotten significantly softer again. I'm not positive how long this will last, but for now it has at least bought me more time with my baby girl and given her significantly more energy again.

Quality Product
I wish I could say my finicky senior cat loves and gladly laps up this supplement but that's not the case. It isn't offensive to him; he just won't eat it so I measure out a tsp. into a syringe that I ordered from Amazon and that's how I get his daily dose into him. As a owner who will do whatever it takes to keep my senior boy in the best health I can while he's fighting a terminal illness, I did my research before purchasing any product. Miracle Vet High Calorie Supplement is the one I chose as it was one product that contained very little sugar and I decided it was the healthiest of all the products I reviewed.

Cats love the taste but did nothing for their waistline.
The cats LOVE this stuff—it smells like bacon and they act like it’s liquid gold. Problem is, it’s pricey and not nearly as calorie-packed as advertised. Each teaspoon is only about 18 calories, which is basically the same as 9 Temptations treats (except yes, the nutrients are better). I’ve gone through 48oz with two cats. I give about 2 tablespoons a day and after three weeks, the smaller one hasn’t gained a single ounce. The bigger one? A whopping 0.2lbs. For the cost, I expected at least a little more pudge. Tastes like a win to them, but feels like a wallet drain to me.
