These shirts are AWESOME!
Never realized the cut of a T shirt could make such a positive difference. The fabric is soft, stretchy, and yet thick enough to feel substantial. The neck, arms, and shoulders give a nice trim look, while the body of the shirt is comfortable around my midsection.

The comparison you probably wanted: TC vs FCT. BONUS: how to wash your clothes with no shrinking.
These really are great shirts. Nice enough to wear out, even some jobs since they aren't sloppy looking tshirts. Simple, no logos and the slightly tailored fit does work. I love that there are no tags, it's just printed. That fitted look isn't extreme, it isn't simply downsized, and that makes this a different animal than the usual old tshirt. No more Carhartts. **Here's the answer to the question you may have, which also is why I bought the shirts after discovering Fresh Clean Tees first (called "Threads" now). Are they similar? Yes. TC costs a little more, either here or bought directly, but has a tiny bit more premium feel. I like buying here so I don't have to wait for a coupon code for shipping and I have bought here on sale. TC is a little heavier feel, I have no info to back that up. Both are 60/40 cotton/poly shirts. I have a lot of these two brands, I stick to what I like. They both last well, but IMO the TC holds the "new" look longer. FCT tends to change the colors and drop the ones I like, TC tends to keep them around from what I can tell. I tend to stick to a nice dark navy, that's just me. FCT only has that color temporarily. FIT COMPARISON: I'm 6' and 200lbs, not what I'd call an athletic build yet, but an emerging V shape, 34" pants waist. With FCT, I'm kind of between an XL and a L, but I can wear either. The large in TC lands in that range. Out and about, I'll either wear the TC in L or FCT in XL. The XL in TC I just got is on the loose side, giving up some of the fitted benefit. Neither are "tight" I'm not going for that look. At the gym, I sweat a lot to begin with. These shirts make me sweat even more (again, they're 60/40) and hold onto it rather than drying, and get temporarily out of shape. Back in shape after a wash, no worries. They aren't shrinking like a fully cotton shirt, so as an investment, these are shirts that last. Many get washed weekly, if not twice a week. Compared to other shirts I work out in, this one makes me more sweaty. The FCT is a similar experience, but maybe not so much since they do seem a little thinner, even if still a 60/40 blend. My favorite gym shirts are 50 poly, 25 cotton, 25 rayon sold at the gym, made by Next Level Apparel, and although slightly fitted, they aren't quite like TC and FCT in that area for the desired look. Long story short, 5 stars as a great product, probably a little nicer than the direct competition but a little more expensive. Both last, but these look brand new a little longer justifying either one depending on how you feel about it. Note the difference in sizing. What do I want from the company? More henley options, short sleeves and not restrictively tight arms on the long sleeves. Quality to wear alone, not as an undershirt. Washing: it's not 1950, you don't need to wash on hot. Wash cold, dry on low but for a longer time. I've got all brands discussed (TC, FCT, NLA) that are 2 years old or more, no shrinking or very minor with the oldest that are washed weekly, with minimal fading even on the oldest shirts. If it's that bad, wash twice, the first with a little vinegar. Save your clothes people.

Wifey Approved-He Looks Amazing!
As the spouse, I can confidently say these True Classic T-shirts are a win! They fit my honey perfectly by highlighting his shoulders and arms while helping hide the beer tummy. The fabric is also incredibly soft and feels so nice to the touch. He loves how comfortable they are, and I love how great he looks in them. Definitely five stars from this wifey!

Decent Product, butโฆ
I purchased a True Classic Tees Premium Fitted Men's T-Shirt in size XL, as the Amazon prompt mentioned that it was the size best suited for me. I double checked the size guidelines and confirmed that an XL was the one to get. When I received the shirt and wore it a few times, the following are my โPROSโ and โCONSโ: PROS: - The shirt arrived in a well sealed package. - I was very impressed with how soft and comfortable the t-shirt felt in hand and while worn. - I like how there was no physical tag sewn into the collar area, with info now printed on the interior collar. - The main selling point, being that the upper portion of the t-shirt is generally fitted to provide a more flattering profile, while the lower portion of the t-shirt has more material drape to hide bigger stomach/wastelines mostly works as advertised. - The collar opening is wide enough to nicely fit the neck without being too big and sloppy-looking. CONS: - Unless you have muscular-developed biceps, the arm hole openings on the sleeves are still a little bit โbaggyโ, and donโt match the models you see in the advertisements. My expectation was that the manufacturer would have used some sort of elastic in the sleeve openings to achieve a true โfittedโ look. If your arms are bigger (either the result of time spent at the gym, or just by eating more carbs) then the sleeve openings may work for you, but if you are more average build, you may find the arm hole openings a bit disappointing. Certainly the sleeves are better than your average baggy t-shirt, but in my particular case they are not what I consider a โfittedโ look. - At almost $30 per t-shirt, I might be happy paying that price IF the product delivered a true fitted overall appearance. I fall into the human scale category of being 50%tile, meaning that my height/weight/build/proportion is average, so the True Classic Tees Premium t-shirt should deliver a total fitted look as advertised. Having said all that, overall, I do like the product (I gave it 4 Stars), as it really is an evolved improvement of the classic t-shirt. If only the sleeve openings had a more fitted look, then I would have given it 5-stars.

Good product (?) with good support (?). I believe "YES" x 2
I like the fit but quality is potentially questionable. Have been trying all morning to work through a return of a single shirt. Bought a 3 pack in late September, among others in the recent past, and after 2 washes one of the newer t shirts has a disruption between the neck and the body (see picture). I sent True Classic an email to customer support and they were very quick to respond to me. By the end of a handful of emails (on a Sunday which is great) they asked that I submit a formal request through the "quality portal." Great idea except this is an Amazon purchase so the requested order number is not through their website so I am unable to request a return/replacement (their website states 100 days; Amazon says 30...). So still waiting on an answer to how to bypass this requirement to get a replacement. I mean this is a $25 t shirt and should not have any stitching issues after 2 washes. Also it is not cheap enough for me to simply replace with a new purchase. So, I do like the shirts in general, with good material and an excellent fit, and I suspect this is a "one off" problem. I appreciate the response to the emails today, but am unhappy with the lack of response to helping me get to the point of an actual replacement. Once this is resolved, assuming it is done so easily and soon, I will be happy to change the review. UPDATED (2-3 hours later): Changing to 5 stars. After a little communication issue got a great response from the company and it looks like they will make the process easy. Has turned out to be relatively easy once the correct person sees the issue. Well done. Highly recommend these shirts for fit and material quality and True Classic for their great customer service.

True Classic, the Gold Digger of shirts....
Update - After about a year of regular washing the fabric starts getting pinholes. They are washed separately and usually in a hentle cycle... for the money, I wanted it to last. Didn't happen. For contrast, I have FTL pocket T's that I work in. I bought some 3 years ago and the fabric is still holding up strong after weekly heavy duty washes. They might be an ok shirt for a year or so. But at this price point they should last 3x as long considering you can but 2 FTL T's for about $17 and they stand up to abuse and constant washing for 3+ years and after 4-5 washings, are as soft as the true classics. An overpriced, under-performing shirt that was built to be replaced regularly from True Classic? Or a fair priced, over-preforming shirt built to last from FTL? The cost, quality, and undeniable factvof longevity of the FTL shirts make this a simple choice. If you want something that looks good, costs 4x as much and doesn't last even when pampered, True Classic is for you. If you want something that looks good, is highly affordable, and lasts for years of abuse, FTL is the way to go. 1st shirt I bought was fine. The sizing chart said to order Xl and I wear Xl so I ordered it. Afyer washing it in hot water, it's bigger than the usual Gildan or FTL that I usually buy. But it was really comfortable and I figured I buy another one in the Xl because maybe they'll shrink a little. The second shirt was about 1 inch wider across the shoulders and fit worse. So then I went and talked to my brother, who recommended the shirts and put it up against his Xl shirts. His are smaller and fit beautifully. The fit difference between the ones I ordered here on Amazon and the ones he ordered directly are entirely different. His fit the way all the ads say and match all the great reviews. The ones I ordered here from Amazon are not even close. The shoulders are almost 2 inches wider and the chest is extremely loose. They fit like XXl shirts that were badly patterned. Both are going back and I'll buy Gildan from now on like always.

Great fitting shirts
These have easily become my favorite shirts I've tried; they fit great, hug my arms, and give me a better shape than other tees. I got these in XL, and they are the perfect length for me, extremely comfortable, and I love the color, which doesn't fade on me even after having had a previous set for over a year now. Ended up getting another 3-pack in black, as I love having a plain black tee and jeans. The fabric is thin, and I don't get overly hot while in the sun like some other thicker brands and fabrics.

Not that great just not worth the $
Sorry but the shirt is just a shirt not worth the $40. While the material it is made from is quite soft which has bolstered my rating to a two star the "fit" is not much different then your next quality t-shirt that probably cost you half the amount. That said the shirt is comfortable but that is due to the material only so save you money and buy a good thick cotton t-shirt, cheaper, elsewhere.

Better value from TU Clothing
A very soft shirt that dries well without wrinkles. I'm an XL and purchased XL. However they are very baggy and loose around the upper arms and stomach. Totally unflattering. Ideal for in the home - lazing about or decorating. I would never wear this shirt in public. It lacks class and distinction. I have almost identical t- shirts from TU clothing. Not quite as soft as these - but a quarter of the price. I won't be buying this brand again.
