I’ve been using the SheaMoisture Beard Kit and it’s been a great addition to my routine. The beard wash cleans really well without stripping away natural oils, so my beard feels fresh but not dry. It also helps get rid of buildup and leaves everything feeling soft and manageable after each wash. What I like most is how gentle it is on both my beard and skin. It reduces itchiness and keeps the beard feeling hydrated, which makes a big difference throughout the day. The scent is clean and not overpowering, and a small amount goes a long way. Overall, it is a simple and reliable beard wash that does exactly what you want. It keeps your beard clean, soft, and easy to maintain without any harsh effects.

As someone who's had a beard off and on for the better part of a decade, I've gone through my fair share of beard products. For the most part they're all very similar. The washes for the most part clean and leave a very squeaky clean (almost dry) feeling out of the shower. Conditioners help a bit after a wash, but not anything to write home about, the only one I've tried that I really liked was Scotch Porter. Oils help in hydrating, some are excessively oily and just don't look very appealing. Balms will help tidy up the overall shape of the beard, some are not really strong enough and just end up being another layer of oil on the wiskers. Ok, now for this review... So I believe this to be the most natural and most effective line of products I've found to date. First off, the wash, oh my, the wash... I could really just stop right there. This is my favorite of the line. It leaves my beard so soft I find myself not wanting to ruin it with a conditioner. If you try just one of these product, the wash is a must. Next we have the detangler, this is pretty much a leave in conditioner. It softens out the beard even further and adds a slickness to the beard, it feels great. The oil in the set is probably unnecessary since the wash and detangler do such a great job, but in any case it is a quality oil. The reason I say this is because it doesn't really stay oily in the hair, you can feel that after initially applying, it does absorb into either the follicle or skin, whichever it's intended to. As I mentioned, there are some oils that just don't do that, it's just greasy all day long. The balm is probably my least favorite of the line, but only because it's not a very strong holding balm. It's kind of like I mentioned, another layer of oil. This one does also absorb so it's ok. I prefer a more tacky balm with more wax rather than oils. Also, the scent of this line is a subtle chocolatey vanilla kind of smell. It's a very pleasant scent that my wife also enjoyed initially. However after about a week or so of using the product, I no longer get so much as a whiff, which is fine, I find that to be common with many of these beard oils and such. So, overall a great set of products that leave my beard feeling soft and hydrated all day long, it also feels like quality, in the sense that it does absorb. It doesn't feel like you just applied baby oil all over your face. I cannot stress this point enough, there are some "name brand" beard care product that feel as such. That's why this product line really stands out to me. Five stars...

My husband says he loves it, it definitely made his bread soft. He has used everything but the balm so far but it’s really nice and smells delightful.

My boyfriend has had a beard for a couple of years now, and he's never once bought anything for it. I, however, have spent numerous hours watching videos, reading reviews, etc. Everything he has, beard related, is something I picked out. From his sandalwood comb, and boar brush, to his wash, oils, butters, and wax. Even his Norelco, and hair/beard straightener. He's been using Professor Fuzzworthy's Beard Shampoo, which I recommend, because it's a bar, that will literally last you about a year, if used once daily. I also recommend a Soap Lift "dish", for your bar, if you're interested. He's then using Seven Potions Oil (Citrus Tonic) and Detroit Grooming Co. butter, in the Leland scent (which is AMAZING). The absolute BEST product I have found, is that butter. It smells ridiculously good (mango + lime), and works great! He was running low on oil, but also, since his beard has got long, we've noticed knots/tangles becoming common. I ended up here because I ventured out in search of a beard detangler/conditioner. Since this kit has it all, I was interested. It's pretty cheap, considering all you get, which did worry me, but I figured it'd be good enough for now. This kit is pretty good, but not great. I really like the scent! When I hug him, it's a very soft scent, that reminds me of vanilla, cookies, or milk chocolate/cocoa. It doesn't smell exactly like coco butter, but I'd definitely put it in that family. Doesn't at all smell like citrus, cologne/athletic, woodsy, or earthy. In my opinion, it's a warm scent, in the vanilla tobacco realm. It softens his beard, but not as good as the butter I've previously mentioned, and we have noticed that he still has kinks that are difficult to comb through, after applying the conditioner. He hasn't bothered with the beard balm in this kit, but when he does, I'll give an update. I have two complaints, 1) it's filled with a ton of stuff that's clearly not organic. No different than store bought hair products. When you're dealing with a beard, having alcohol on the list of ingredients (among other things), is somewhat concerning. We all know alcohol to be drying. Nowadays, the majority of beard products, pride themselves on only having a few ingredients, and those few ingredients being all-natural, and nothing that would strip the beard of its natural oils, and moisture. 2) I thought the beard conditioner would be for shower usage. It is not. It's yet another product you guys will have to use, outside of the shower. That was really disappointing for me because I try to keep things quick, and convenient for him, in fear that he will lose interest if I overwhelm him with 10 million grooming steps. I thought it would be simple, shampoo and conditioner in the shower, oil outside of the shower. Figured he could wash his beard, put the conditioner in, wash off, rinse, hop out. He's been using the products, just fine, for a week now, but I know how after a while, (as a female) you just get tired of all of the maintenance steps. How you eventually get to where you're no longer applying your moisturizer, and other skin products, every. single. day. I have three brothers, and was raised by a single father. I know that guys are even worse with all of that. I also know that guys prefer things to be short, and sweet when it comes to reading reviews, so, I'll shut up now, haha. For the price, this is a solid kit. It could be better, but then it would cost a lot more. Again, I LOVE the scent. All in all, it's worth giving a shot!

I buy this SheaMoisture Beard Kit on repeat every time my man runs out because it’s just that good. The scent alone is amazing — honestly, it could stand on its own without cologne. His beard stays soft, healthy‑looking, and well‑kept, and he loves it just as much as I do. It keeps his beard looking good and smelling even better, so this set is definitely a staple in our house.

I love SheaMoisture! They were the first product line I ever used when going all natural with my hair. I love that this brand uses all natural ingredients and that they actually work and leave more than desirable results. I bought this grooming kit for my husband because his beard was smelling really awful like old food and we couldn’t figure out why and he was using regular shampoo to clean it but all it was doing, was drying out his beard and not penetrating the skin good enough and getting a good clean so we purchased this beard kit and after one wash, I could no longer smell the bad smell his beard had. The butter and balm works so well and the oil and I put it on on myself because I just love the results it’s shiny, it promotes growth and is now my favorite product that he uses. What I like: - smells great - makes beard very soft and moisturized - a little amount goes a long way What I dislike: - No instruction manual for the kit This product is very nice. I've been in the market for a good beard kit for about 2 years now. This kit is exactly what I was looking for. Since the kit lacks a instruction manual, I'll list my steps here. Step 1: Thoroughly wet your beard and apply a dime sized amount of the beard wash shampoo to your beard. Massage it in and then rinse out the beard shampoo. PAT DRY your beard with a towel, DO NOT rub it dry with a towel. Your beard should be nice and soft at this point. Step 2: Brush your beard with a beard brush and then apply a dime sized amount of the detangler to your beard. Massage it in and then with a beard comb, begin combing out your beard. The detangler should make the beard easy to comb out. Step 3: Apply a nickel size amount of the beard balm to your beard and massage it in, make sure to get the base of your hairs as well. Step 4: Apply 3 squirts of the beard oil to your beard by massaging it in. Style as desired. It takes me about 10 minutes to perform the whole routine, but it's well worth it. I wash my beard every other day. I apply the beard balm and oil daily though. This routine keeps my beard soft, moisturized and looking great!

A few months ago I decided to grow my beard out upon being clueless with beard care I googled, watched hundreds of YouTube videos, read a million reviews and decided to get a beard kit which there our thousands to choose from but my research brought me to "Shea Moisture Complete Beard Kit" I have been using for about a full month now so will go through the full line up! The Wash - I think this is the most important of the line because most men use regular hair/women products for their beard BIG mistake why do you wanna smell like lavender and sunflower seeds all day brah? This wash cleanses the skin under your beard for growth, you don't need a lot of product for use so it last longer and it makes your beard look healthy! The Detangler/Conditioner - Honestly I love this stuff it works like a charm after the first use it makes your beard look FULLER, less patchy, more soft, easier to manage for grooming The Oil - Beard oil is perhaps one of the most important things you can do for your beard this oil keeps it moisturized, conditions it, makes it soft so your beard doesn't feel like a Brillo pad all dry and looking like trash on your chin and it also stops the itching of growing a beard The Balm - At first I didn't really care for the balm because I didn't know or understand how important it is when you go out, on a date, or just to take the trash out! This has the right ingredients to style your beard, tame your beard, and learn your beard, it's thick and firm enough to hold and last all day great every day tool This product line is designed for black men, we have different hair, different textures so we need different care for our beards! It's all natural, smells AMAZING, and it has great ingredients just read them! Don't be fooled by these other beard products that are MORE expensive and does LESS work than you need for your beard game! Great price point, great company/brand, and great results what more can you ask for??? So STOP using your wife's products and become a MAN!

To all my brothers out there, this is it! This is the kit you NEED to treat your beard!. Really nice smell, and I'm referring to the three products. I've been using it for a month already and that my afro beard that coils up and drys out super quick is now soft, detangled and moisturised. With a good beard brush and patience, you up your game!

Decided it was time to start growing my beard out, and after much reading, a lot of people recommended SheaMoisture's beard products. All 4 products smell absolutely amazing, and better yet, the wife approves! I don't have much use for the beard detangler, but the wash, oil, and balm all do as they're advertised. I've experienced no irritation while using these products.
