Summary: I’ve been putting this “little engine that could” through its paces for a little over a month now, and I’m very impressed by both the sound and build quality. I own several planar IEM sets, and this one is truly unique among them in the way in presents the low end and brings the mids forward just a bit. It’s not the most detailed set I have currently, but it’s a fine compromise for a different “thick” presentation that can be more forgiving of poorly mixed music content, but still very competent in the high frequency details. It’s worth the price of admission even at the regular price, but more so if you can catch in on sale. Bass: The low end is where this IEM gets its “thick” character, and seems to add some harmonic content in the mid and upper bass region. It takes away from some detail in the low end, and it’s absolutely not a “bass head” presentation, but rather a sound that could be described as a milkshake or syrup. I assume this thick character is source dependent and my DAC (iFi Zen V2) is a bit warm, so experience on cleaner or warmer sources will most likely vary. Mids: The middle frequencies present just a bit more forward compared to the other IEMs currently in my collection. That, mixed with the thick lows, makes for a very interesting sound scape, that to me, doesn’t really sound like a traditional planar tone. Along with vocals, midrange instruments (guitar, piano, alto brass and woodwind, etc.) all come though the mix nicely with a noticeably smooth presentation. Highs: The highs are presented similarly to my other planar sets, where the details come shining through, but not at all sibilant or fatiguing. They come through with a more crystalline vs. metallic tone, adding to the smooth texture of the overall music presentation. I find that ride cymbals (hit lightly) are especially pleasing to the ear in this tuning, but all other cymbals and high frequency content sounds great with more than enough details to keep things interesting. Sound stage and imaging: The sound stage is rather wide for an IEM, but shallow in depth, which is farily typical. As for the instrument placing, it’s like you’re standing on stage with the band, slightly in front, in a medium sized venue. Most of the instruments (to me) sound like they’re next to me or slightly behind, but easily distinguishable from each other. Accessories: The included 4.4mm balanced cable is of good quality, and has very little “memory” making it easy to manage. The included ear tips are also very good (not usual in my experience), and I’ve been using the medium “balanced” tips with create a perfect seal and are very comfortable. The one thing I didn’t like so much was the included carry bag, so I got a Linsoul “puck” type case, and that’s been working just fine.

I have been in earphone collection hobby for the past 10 years. The mp145 definitely deserve everlasting spot in my collection for their unique sound signature and tuning. That is the best that I have heard in planner magnetic IEMs. You need to upgrade the stock tips to ones that will open up the stem, stock tips are narrowing the tube. When I installed 64Audio silicone tips they opened up significantly. I have paired them with a warmer source Hiby WU1 and they sound magnificent. The planar bass is something that you definitely need to hear, The mids are quite forward and they are the most enjoying of any IEM I've heard, highs are quite balanced, but they do have a spike in the upper treble and some people can be sensitive. They have a great amount of air. I absolutely adore them with jazz and blues and they work really well with the majority of music genres. I have over 20 iems in my collection 150$-2000$ range and I must admit that these are THE most enjoyable. I can't say that they are very comfortable just because of the large shell and being quite heavy. However, the shell size contributes to reproducing such an amazing sound. Highly recommend! Got this one with a big discount, they are HUGE and I had to switch cables so it could wrap around my ears. But the sound on these planars are amazing. I switch between this one and the 7Hz Timeless AE. When I want more bass I go to the 7Hz, but for long listening during work I prefer the MP145. My top 5: 1. Hidizs MP145 and 7hz Timeless AE 2. KZ HBB PR2 - I guess I have V3 as sound is close to my other planars. #2 because they are hard to drive. 3. Kefine Delci 4. Sennheiser IE100 Pro 5. KZ Castor Bass version and TRN ST7 (tie).

These are a solid upgrade from my ZS10 pro x. Vocals aren't as prominent but overall clarity and soundstage is noticeably better. Solid build and beautiful packaging and plenty of accessories. Only complaint was at first they were incredibly uncomfortable. Tho as I wear them more the comfort is slowly getting better so maybe my ears just needed to adjust to the larger size. Overall great buy and makes most consumer products like air pods and Bose/Sony earbuds sound like garbage.

These sound good from the phone, but to really enjoy them you need to amplify them. I use a Hifiman hm901r, with all the amp cards. Classic planar sound, good performance, even listening to a frequency sweep I couldn't pick out any sibilance, they roll off quickly below 20hz, and I'm old so I can't hear above 13khz anyway. I haven't tried all the planar IEM's in this price range but I'm going say you'll be hard pressed to find better at this price.

Son unos Iems que a la escucha en la oreja da la sensación sonora de unos over ears abiertos. Con una inmensa escena sonora, una más que correcta separación instrumental con una altisima resolución. Y cómo extra permiten sintonizar el sonido de manera activa de presión sonora con boquillas intercambiables. Comprenlos con los ojos cerrados; patean a iems de 3 veces su precio.

Antes de comprar Este producto tenia muchas buenas expectaticas por la Gran cantidad de reviews que hablaban muy Bien de Los hidizs mp145. Desde que llegaron tuve problemas. No SE escuchaban bien, había un silbido constante que SE intensificaba por Momentos. Probé con diferentes dacs, entre Ellos Fiio ka5, moondrop dawn pro, etc. Así como en diferentes dispositivos como Xiaomi 11T, Pc con una placa x370 que tiene un Sistema de sonido muy bueno. Con todos tuve los problemas mencionados. Cabe señalar que estos problemas solo los tuve con estos IEMS, Tengo otros y nunca me dieron problemas similares. Solución? Me contacte con Amazon, Linsoul y Hidizs. Y que pasó? Se tiraron la bola uno a otro y SE lavaron las manos Amazon me dió una "SOLUCIÓN" que era devolverlos y que YO pague El envío, me comunique con Ellos y ME DIJIERON LO SIGUIENTE: solo me devolverian 50 dolares de Los mas de 300 dolares de envío que eran. Además de estos problemas, los IEMS son muy grandes y nada cómodos sobre Todo en sesiones largas estas forzado a sacartelos UN rato y dejar descansar Tus oidos, tambien la pintura que traen estos en color Azul es de muy mala calidad, nunca SE me cayeron pero SE despintaron como si los hubiese usado en trabajo pesado. Fue la Unica mala experiencia que tuve en Amazon. Ojalá El vendedor SE hubiese contactado conmigo para darme alguna solución, El producto no tiene buen control de calidad.

Update/summary Although they are well made and sound great, there is no possible way to fit them to my ears. Regretfully I had to return them. The refund process took a bit of time, but was smooth and painless. The folks from Hidizs have been friendly and communicative. So the main problem for me is that the nozzles have a forward angle and upward angle of roughly 15 degrees each. My ear canals have a back angle of around 15 deg and an up angle of 45 deg. Given the steep angle of my canals, the opening is not a circle, but an ellipse. That means that I need a much longer nozzle as well. The only way the MP145 could work for me is if they had a longer nozzle that was also adjustable. I am out of luck on this one, as well as most of the other products out there made for the "standard" ear shape. If your ears conform, the MP145 should work great. Original whiny review. None of the included tips will engage into my ear canals. The best that I can do is hold them in place with the large tips to achieve a seal, but they will not stay there. I can sort of get them to engage and seal if I wear them like the photo, but that is not stable, and the sharp point of the whale tail emblem punches a hole in the bowl of my ear. Sorry for the gross photo. My ears are red from trying to get the things to fit. I did give them a listen, and I like the sound. I also like the aluminum housings. They are just unwearable. I also dislike the sharp points and corners. I haven't given up. I am trying to find some long foam tips to try. I am not optimistic. btw, the nozzle diameter is 6.83mm. I will need to find tips that can stretch over that. I could make my own, but it is a pain, and the cans will still sit at a strange angle. fwiw, I have been wearing IEMs for 30 years (I still have my original Ety ER4S). I am not new to this game. However I have never gotten along with earbuds. Right now the MP145 are just fancy earbuds. I should say that I have had great luck with other Hidizs products. This is the first IEM that I have tried from them. I suspect that their model of ear canal shape does not match my case. I do get along with my Ety Evos, so this style can work for me. otoh I use Comply tips with the Etys.

Too many positive reviews to reasons I bought it. I like the sound but doesn't stay in ear. Too big massive size and heavy if you sit and not move your head than OK. I got navy colour and use only indoor already paint starting pealing looks second hand iem. Sound wise ok not really special you don't say woww. cable not really suits this iem . I think not worth asking price.

Sin duda uno de mis IEM favoritos, ese color azul me encantó, así como el diseño y el material todo el cuerpo de aluminio. El sonido es muy bueno, una delicia escuchar música con este IEM, siempre y cuando se usen con un buen DAC como el iFi Go Link o iFi HIP DAC 3, todos los accesorios que trae muy buenos y se agradece. 100% Recomendable. Uno de mis 4 favoritos, incluyendo los SIMGOT EA1000, Kiwi Ears Quinteto y SIMGOT EM6L.

These provide very accurate sound without a lot of the planar negatives! They are a bit large, but fit okay in my ears, but if you have smaller ears - you may have an issue.

I bought this IEM when it's on sale, but I would have paid full price for it - and knowing now how it sounds, I would have paid more than twice the price for it. I paired it with iFi Hip DAC 3, this DAC has a warm attribute so it is perfect for Planar IEM. The special thing about MP145 is the way it presents the music - the soundstage is almost 3D. I guess it has to do with the whale sized Planar driver, that's why no other IEM sounds like that. It needs to be properly amplified, you do need a DAC Amp to get the best out of it - I got the one with 4.4mm balanced cable. The sound is big - it's like watching a movie in a cinema, while most other IEMs are just a TV screen. Since the sound is big, you can easily hear the details provided by the Planar driver. Good soundstage, imaging and resolutions. Not lacking in bass, mids or treble - what more do you want?

Sin lugar a dudas uno de los mejores Iem's en mi colección, su sonido bien amplificado no deja nada que desear de otros muy por arriba en su precio. Su tecnología planar hace muy bien su trabajo!
