The device comes with a CT clamp but no other wiring. So I brought a small in-line fuse carrier and some 1A fuses from desertcart and connected it into a spare way in a connector block on my side of the meter in my meter block (see picture). I’m an electrical engineer, so am comfortable doing this but wouldn’t recommend it’s done by anyone without electrical experience. It should be a very quick job for an electrician though. The CT clamp has a diameter of 10mm so it may not fit some meter tails, but worked fine on the tails going to our heat pump. Set up is super easy on the Tuya Smart app and readout is good. Just be sure to turn off the 5GHz on your router while you pair, or it won’t be found. You can turn it back on straight afterwards. All in all I did everything within half an hour and am very happy with the results Review: Not compatible with Home Assistant - Seems to work OK with the Tuya App, but is DEFINITELY NOT compatible with Home Assistant - despite looking identical to other units that are. ## Features - 1️⃣ Reliable Wireless Connection Works only with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for stable performance. Not compatible with 5GHz Wi-Fi, Zigbee, or Bluetooth. A strong Wi-Fi signal near the installation location is required for continuous monitoring. - 2️⃣ Easy Installation with Safety in Mind Mutual inductance design with CT clamp for convenient DIY setup, but must be wired into your AC circuit (110–240V) for power. This is not a battery-powered or clamp-only device — basic electrical safety knowledge is recommended. - 3️⃣ CT Clamp Size Compatibility Clamp opening size is 10 mm, suitable for cables up to 10 mm in diameter. Will not fit larger household main power cables, so please measure your cable before ordering. - 4️⃣ Accurate Single-Direction Measurement Measures power consumption in one direction only. Does not support bidirectional measurement for solar or battery systems unless otherwise specified. Accuracy class 1.0 (±1%) ensures reliable readings, though slight variations from your main electricity meter may occur. - 5️⃣ Smart App Control & Features Connects to the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app for real-time monitoring, data history, and automation rules. Some advanced functions (e.g., threshold alarms) may require an additional subscription within the app. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CHM7W9V4 | | Best Sellers Rank | 23,956 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 7 in Power Monitors | | Brand | POFET | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars (255) | | Date First Available | 8 Sept. 2023 | | Item Weight | 120 g | | Model Number | CP025107 | | Package Dimensions | 19.2 x 14.1 x 3.3 cm; 120 g | | Special Features | Wireless | ## Images ![Smart Meter Energy Monitor WiFi Electricity Usage Monitor 80A Compatible with Tuya Smart Life - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51mh0YajdVL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works perfectly if you know what you’re doing *by A***E on 8 August 2024* I wanted this to monitor accurate historical energy data and actual live data for our new heat pump.
