You can use them on any bike. They make your grips more comfortable.

Will these be suitable for a yamaha xj6 2012?

They will fit any bike, but they take some effort. Don't use much soap, otherwise they will slide around the grips.

Will these fit over oxford heated grips

They should do. They are quite stretchy but I find soaking them in hot water first helps. Don't use soap of any kind as you'll find they slide around the bars when riding. A pig to fit but great when on. Very comfy.
