Powerful detergents in NBS PHOENIX Premium Heating Oil Additive prevents the formation of and removes existing deposits from injectors, heat exchangers and burners. Also prevents these deposits from building up, keeping boilers and cookers free of soot between services Many domestic boilers lose efficiency due to build-up of deposits on the heat exchange surfaces and partially blocked nozzles. The result of this is that your boiler will fire more often and burn more fuel to achieve the same temperature as indicated by the thermostat. NBS PHOENIX prevents fuel degradation, the corrosion of metal storage tanks and associated pipework, the adverse effects of fuel interaction with copper containing fittings and pipework and serves to inhibit the build of deposits in storage tanks and improves performance by up to 10%. The additives are supplied in bottles containing 200ml additive present and treat 1000 litres of heating oil. They are suitable for batch treatment in tanks (e.g. bottle dosing and splash blending). It is preferable to empty the additive in to the storage tanks before adding heating oil on top (promotes mixing), however mixing will still occur after a few days if added to an existing full tank.
