The ratio is 1 tablespoon of shampoo to 2 tablespoons of water. Dip your fingers into the diluted aftercare shampoo and rub your scalp thoroughly with your fingertips, but DO NOT rub the hairs themselves as this may damage them. Rinse and then repeat the process. After applying the salt free aftercare shampoo, dilute the equivalent of a quarter dollar (1 inch in diameter) of the Softening Emulsion in about one inch of hot water, divide your hair in half and place the hairs inside the bowl, up to your ears. Be careful not to let the emulsion touch the roots of your hair so as not to make it greasy. Repeat the process on the other side. Rinse and then finish by pouring ½ (half) a litre of filtered or mineral water over your hair.
