OtterBox Strada Folio Case for Samsung Galaxy S9 - Shadow

Got the same case for my previous Samsung S7 and it's still going strong. Now I have the same case for my S9. These are sturdy and reliable cases, I prefer having the screen covered in my pocket because I tend to have loose change or keys, these cases really protect your device well. I'm normally pretty careful and rarely drop my phone but on the few times I have I've fortunately escaped without a dent, crack or scratch in sight.

Have always shelled out that little bit extra for an otterbox and in the past have never been disappointed. However I recently bought a Samsung s9 and purchased this otterbox folio case for it, never doubting that it would let me down but only a couple of weeks in, and it did. The cover itself is not raised enough over the curved screen thus not creating a protective bevel, leaving it exposed for breakage & scratches. I was on the phone when it dropped from my hand, it fell at an angle cracking the exposed curved screen instantly. Devastated and not happy having to pay for a new screen. Sorry Otterbox definitely not recommending this case. A waste of money.

The case seems well made and fits my S9 well, without adding too much bulk. It's already suffered one fall on to a concrete floor from about 3ft and the case prevented any damage. The case is quite a close fit. This works well with a film screen protector, but might be a problem with a glass one. The case does seem to mark quite easily with greasy fingerprints, although these can be mostly wiped off. I'm not sure about long term durability as yet.

Pricey if not on offer - On my second case now and iPhone in good condition even with using for work. The case obviously makes phone heavier and to carry larger but for the protection it offers this is a no brainer... Highly recommended.

With the increased cost of new smartphones, Otterbox is my preferred choice of case. Chosen for a family member, I needed something that was stylish and offered access to the "Edge" menus. I can highly recommend this product. Purchased at a fraction of the cost I would normally expect to pay, this style of case suits there style of use perfectly. Albeit there are several cases claiming to offer high levels of protection, choosing a brand with a proven track record offers real peace of mind.

Very pleased with this case. Perfect fit for the S9, the join between phone and case is seamless. A very good looking case and extremely robust - feels like you could drop it from a great height and the phone would still be safe. Highly recommended!
