should be one year for parts and labor on printer. The warranty on the toner should be the same. I had a problem with an HP Toner I used for a while then ran into a problem with so I returned it to Staples where I purchased it with the receipt. You can also go directly through the HP Company for a replacement cartridge (but they will probably send you a postage paid return box/label for you to return the damaged one - if they don't offer you one and want the product back, ask for the the postage paid return box/label). You probably will not be able to “recharge” and have it work. Today’s cartridges are very sophisticated, require chips and special machinery to open them etc. The pets are not generally available to retail customers. It is always best to replace with a new original cartridge.
