Swanley Village Nursery 30 X Strawberry Plants Bare Rooted Marshmellow

Received 65 instead of 50, which is a fabulous bonus, but now I have no space haha! They come in a sealed plastic post bag, which does a bang up job of retaining the moisture of the roots. Didn't open the bag for a week after receiving, then didn't plant for another week after opening the bag and were still nice and moist. 1 month on, have these all planted in potted compost, then ran out of pots and portioned the rest out into a whole bag of compost. All but 3 are already showing signs of growth, even in this weather which is just amazing! Plenty will be going as gifts to the family that's for sure!*edit to add* i planted 20 outside a little too soon, they didn't survive but that's my bad. Still have 40 left and they are producing lovely sweet strawbs almost on a daily basis! Well chuffed.

I have ordered quite a few plants (over 150) in mostly 50 plant batches for my new strawberry patch. All batches were purchased at different times (within a few weeks of eachother) and all treated the same way (24hour bucket soak before planting, with strawberry food). Although first and third batch were excellent all producting strawberries now, the second batch I got 15 plants have failed to grow. At £19.99 per 50 plants, excellent value overall, just seemed to get a bad batch which is a pity.

Ordered various strawberry plants from this nursery, always been impressed, never had any failures and huge sweet crops. Unfortunately marshmallow is not one despite the really hot sun last year i had a very big crop but unfortunately the strawberries were not sweet. I don't recommend these for strawberry teas, would be okay for jam making when you can add extra sugar but i like to be able to pick and eat them off the plant whilst gardening. Will go back to tried and trusted varieties.

I was a bit worried about receiving these as bare root strawberry plants, but thought there are so many that a few should survive. As it happens, I needn’t have worried. Actually received close to 60 plants and every single one has thrived. Will definitely be doing this again next year.

Arrived on time , ordered fifty plants and received a few extra ones which was nice .All growing well looking forward to eating them in a few months

They arrived much earlier although the wrong number of plants which seller super quickly rectified. All planted now. The strawberries have really strong roots and start growing very quickly after planting. I'm super happy.

Great , they grow into plant so quickly and having strawberries as well . Each time we there , children and me enjoy picking some red ones. It is Unbelievable ! I am thinking to get more if we have extra space .
