Today's digital cameras now enable amateurs to take spectacular images of solar system objects with their favorite telescope. However, numerous obstacles must still be overcome to match camera to telescope, both optically and physically. Ideally, what is required is a rigid and secure method of coupling the wide variety of popular cameras, that allows the astro-imager to use their own eyepieces and to easily vary the distance from camera-to-eyepiece for the optimum position. Our New Baader Micro Stage II Clickstop Digital Camera Adapter delivers this flexibility, with a brand new twist to help in framing and focusing. Normally, with other camera adapters, the user must frame and focus the eyepiece first, then attach the camera, being careful not to disturb the infinity focus. With the MicroStageII Clickstop, the camera can be adjusted to accurately center on the eyepiece, then the camera can be simply pivoted away from the eyepiece for easy visual access to the eyepiece. Twist the camera back into position, tighten the lock screw and that's it! The camera may be pivoted out of the way anytime and instantly returned to its aligned position. A detent (Clickstop) ensures a consistent return position every time. The combination of cast clamp and support arms permit an easy and precise alignment of the camera to eyepiece, with just about any camera and eyepiece combination. The Micro Stage II quickly attaches to an eyepiece by it's single clamp knob and large-area padded V-block clamp. The clamp has been designed to attach to a large range of both 1.25" AND 2" eyepieces (29 - 63mm eyepiece outside diameters). The Micro Stage II even readily adapts to spotting scopes and binoculars. Each Micro Stage II comes in a leatherette storage pouch and folds into a compact flat configuration for easy storage in camera cases, etc. Review: Highly recommended. There are many of this type of support ... - Well designed item that does what it is supposed to do. Highly recommended. There are many of this type of support available and the available designs are very similar to the Baader Microstage II but they are made very cheaply and cost anything from £5 to about £15. The Baader Microstage II was relatively expensive but you will only ever need to buy this item once. It is very well designed and made. My use for this item was to get the images directly from a spotting scope and a telescopic air rifle sight. This would permit me to gather images and make video footage of target shooting with an air rifle. Baader Microstage II was up to the task. It does exactly what I needed from it and the large size range means that I can use it on the eyepieces of my spotting scope (about 47mm in diameter) and the telescopic gun sight (about 58mm in diameter). There was no need to disturb any of the gun sight settings because the Baader Microstage II has the widest opening for fitting to various items and its click stops mean that the camera can be swung out of the way when direct vision is required. The click stop permits the telescopic sight target or spotting scope objects to be viewed directly by swinging the camera out of the way and then swinging it back to the same place exactly after directly viewing a object. I had attached a heavy digital camera to the Baader Microstage II without difficulty. I also reversed one arm of the stage and attached a smartphone to the gun sight easily. The images below show the camera attached to the air rifle and the air rifle telescopic sight. A few images which were taken through the sight using a smartphone. The phone was mounted on the cradle of the phone holding cradle which was bought with this item. Highly recommended. Review: A proper piece of kit - Digiscoping without a dedicated fitting is downright tricky and fiddly (make sure you get plenty of practice in the garden before embarrassing yourself in public) but this fitting gives you a fighting chance to turn out some pretty good results (I'm still at the "amateur" stage). The gape is wide enough to take all scopes (some of the plastic jobs dont) and its metal construction provides rigidity. And its cheap enough as an experiment. Recommended should you want to give digiscoping a bash.

A well made adapter
A well made adapter with a quality feel, which fits very securely to the eyepiece. The Click Stop function works perfectly even after lots of use. I have used with a compact camera and smartphone (with the Mudder adapter attached),and being able to 'swing' the camera/smartphone out of the way to view the eyepiece is really useful. Very pleased.

It’s okay but a bit pricey for what it is...
It’s okay but, unless I’m wrong, it’s not all metal. The clamp that goes around the scope eye piece feels like plastic. For that reason I think it’s a little overpriced. Does the job and relatively easy to setup.

It fits easily and snuggly to both the telescope and to my ...
Just taking this out of the packaging one can tell this is a really well made product, reassuringly heavy and solid to the touch but not heavy enough that you would be concerned fixing this to the lens of your expensive telescope. It fits easily and snuggly to both the telescope and to my camera and the click stop function allows you to simply rotate the camera away from the eye piece when not in use and lock it in position so it stays out of the way until it is needed. The photos I have taken using this so far have being a bit hit and miss but that is down to the user and not the adapter. I highly recommend this product.

Click-Stop unreliable
Not badly made. But only 3 stars as the click-stop stations work correctly when a compact digital camera is not mounted. When a camera is mounted of weight 250 g the click-stop stations don't hold and the camera tends to swing out of alignment. Therefore I wouldn't try to use a camera maximum weight of 1.5k as advertised on the packaging! The instruction manual is in German. Luckily I already knew how to set the microstage up. A pdf file can be obtained in English if anyone does not know how to set it up.

DIGISCOPING.
Has proved to be what i expected although i ha ve not had many opportunities to do much digiscoping. i have had to make a slight adjustment to suit my one camera and it does not suit my other one. Will give a try anyway. Arrived on time.

It's very well made, solid, lightweight, and doesn't flex or give once you set the camera where you want it.
I have a different eyepiece projection setup, but was looking for one to work with a lens combination I couldn't support with the other device (can't think of what it's called). This works perfectly. No matter what my optical train combination, I just tack this on the end and I'm good to go. It's handy for me that it works with or without the lens for my DSLR also.
