I have short hair and have been cutting my own hair since 2020 using CombPal. It works great for all areas except my neckline. Symmetrically cutting the neckline is difficult so I looked for something to help and found this template. I used it today for the first time and it worked as advertised. I made sure it was centered in the back and cut along its edges resulting in a perfect neckline. There are two different neckline curves so you have a choice. Cleanup involved quickly rinsing it under water. Overall, a simple device that works well!

Looked like something out of the dollar store! Instant return and never even got to the point of trying it out on my hair.

Sometimes I trim my hair myself, to extend the life of a salon cut pixie bob. It can be a bit of a trick while looking backward in the mirror. This adjustable band does well providing a guide to trim the neckline. It is also handy to hold hair out of the way to do an undercut. Being able to shape up the perimeter on my own has helped reduce expensive salon trips to 2-3 times per year.
