Worth every dollar!
If you are looking for a set of solid and affordable headphones, these may be your ticket. While these are not as flashy or as me-too as a set of Beats or Bose headphones, they deliver excellent sound quality, which is really what this is all about. Sennheiser, while not a mainstream brand, is well known for producing very high quality headphones.I'm not incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to headphones. Normally, I'm the kind of guy who thinks the headphones included with my cell phone or MP3 player do the job pretty well. I decided to get these because I wanted a set of cans that would work well for my gaming setup and also work for watching movies on flights. As I said, I'm not incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to headphones or sound-related jargon, so I will just describe what I experience as best I can. The biggest thing I notice with these headphones compared with the Samsung earbuds that came with my phone is that I can hear music so clearly that I can make out words and phrases that I couldn't before. The best way I can describe it is that the sounds have more depth (more sounds can be heard), there is more space between them (the sounds are distinguishable) and more clear (I can understand them better). All the music, movies and games I listen to sound far more lush and vibrant than I ever experienced before. I have absolutely no complaints when it comes to the sound department - if you are looking for a good set of headphones, and you are somewhat like me, you will almost certainly appreciate how great these sound.I have only one major issue with these headphones and that is the cord. It just feels cheap in comparison to the rest of the headphones and feels like it will be the first thing break or wear out. Even the cord on my cell phone earbuds is more substantial. I'm taking extra care to be careful with the cord - not winding the cord too often or too tightly, avoiding taking the cord to extreme angles, etc - but I still feel that the cord won't even come close to lasting as long as it should. That said, these headphones offer such a great value that I still think it deserves 5 stars... maybe 4.9. Overall, I would really like to see these same heaphones, for $5 more, with a really solid cord. Note that the cord is also rather long for most purposes, so you will want to get something to help keep it under control. The overall build quality (aside from the cord) is a bit higher than I would expect for a $50 set of headphones that sound this good. Everything is solid plastic that feels reasonably durable. The black area on the sides of the heaphones where the logos feels rubbery. Only issue with these areas is that they easily pick up lint and dust that does not come off easily. Not a huge deal, but I think they could have achieved the same look with a material that wasn't a dust and link magnet. The pads around the ear are attached and fit comfortably. They also do a pretty good job of blocking the most irritating bits of airplane noise. Of course, they don't block everything out, but I found myself much more comfortable on my flights with these on since they really softened the heaviest noise and eliminated most of the others. The headphones are also comfortable enough to wear for long sessions. I've had them on for an hour straight, only taking them off to speak to stewardesses on a flight or take a short break during video game sessions at home. I have not found them to get too hot or anything like that when wearing them.Only other thing I should point out is that they are just barely loud enough on a flight when used with my Nexus 7. I really don't think that's an issue caused by the headphones since they get plenty loud when connected to my computer's sound card. Rather, I think its an issue with the Nexus 7 not delivering enough power to get them. There are apps out there that I am going to try to get a bit more volume and that should fix the problem easily.Overall, these are solid heaphones for anyone who doesn't want to spend the big bucks to get one of the higher end, or just brand name, headphones. If good/great sound and comfort are what you care about, you will do fine with these.

Good cans at a great price
Let me preface this review with two notices: 1. I'm by no means an audiophile. I've known what the term means for less than a year, and this is my first pair of headphones where I've spent more than $20 on it. Technical terms will escape me, but I'll do my best.2. I've had these for less than 24 hours as of the writing of this. This review can and will be changed for future issues that might make a difference in opinion. Now, that said, let's get to the initial impressions. In appearance, this is a nice looking set. It looks like a quality pair of headphones, something that looks like it rivals the expensive Beats. It's a nice size, not so small to seem fragile, but not so large to seem unnecessarily bulky. Putting it on my head, it's sits comfortably. As of right now, I've worn them almost two hours straight without a break, and they're still comfortable. In audio quality, I can say I'm blown away. Then again, I will say again that this is the first pair I've spent more than $20 on. Still, it's quality audio to me. In terms of loundness, it's pretty reasonable. I can her clearly at about 10% volume on my laptop, though closer to 30% seems more suited to better listening. Vocals are clear, no noticeable distortions or hissing even on higher pitched singers. Base is reasonable, at least for myself. My dad tried it, and he thought it might be a touch to much, so personal preference might play a factor here. Be warned.Overall, it a good set of headphones, especially if you're interested in a decent quality without dropping "Beats" level of cash on a pair. I can't talk for any audiophile, but for an average joe like myself, I'd more than recommend getting a pair. You'll not be disappointed. The only two warnings I want to point out:1. My ears are about average size, I would say. The cups fit snugly around my ears. If you have larger ears and are looking for an around-ear pair, I'd recommend looking at a different set.2. Bass might be a bit much for some. Personally, I find the level of bass acceptable, and honestly preferable. My dad, however, thinks the base might be a bit too strong. He concedes that it might have been the song he was listening to at the time, but I think fair warning is still in order.

I'm Amazed. Thank You Amazon.
The name is enough. I'll divide this review into pros and cons and final verdict. Here's my unboxing video:-[...]How I tested them:-I have a Lenovo Vibe X3 and a Music system. Well for those of you who don't know Vibe X3 has a dedicated audio DAC and Amp for driving big headphones with good output. Also I tested with a very low end music player. I tested a lot of songs of different genre and both Indian and International songs. I have tried high quality mp3 and flac files. FLAC files are lossless music files with the best quality. Sound quality depends on the headphones, the device you are using the headphones with and the sounds files that you are trying. If you expecting wonders at 128kbps then you will never recognise the power of these headphones. Atleast test any headphones with 320kbps mp3 or if you have flac files then it would be even better. I have used high quality equipment for my testing. For testing bass listen to The Hills by The Weeknd (don't listen on youtube as youtube compresses audio, better buy it).For testing sound quality try instrumental songs or sad songs.Received this product within a day. Thanks to Amazon Prime.Pros:-1. Design:- Doesn't look that bulky and looks quite stylish. Perfect.2. Comes with 6.3mm adapter. Great for using it with heavy music equipment.3. Sound Quality:- Top notch sound quality. Highly recommended for musicians who want to listen to music instead of beats. Bass lovers might wanna stay away because let's be honest these are HD headphones. So obviously there main task is to deliver in audio quality, crispness, richness, etc. These are not very flat like Audio Technica ATH-M20x (http://amzn.to/2dBMLWw). These have bass but not bass heavy. For me it was perfect. I don't like bass heavy headphones as the sound gets distorted. But if you want you can get more bass by equalizer settings.4. Over the Ear Design:- Provides great sound isolation. You'll go into a different world where only you and your music is there.5. Really Really long cable:- Comes with 3 Meters long cable. I have no problems with cable management as I keep the extra cable tied hence no issues. Good to have long cable.Wire Goes only in the Left side of headphones which is great. Will not restrict your motion.6. Sound quality remains good even at high volumes.7. Works great with DACs and Amplifiers.8. Comfortable:- Your ears won't sweat that much even after long music listening sessions. Very very comfortable. Cushions are large and very very soft. No pain even after 3-4 hours of continuous music.9. Two Year Sennheiser Warranty.Cons:- (Depends from person to person)I couldn't find serious cons but these are some things that could have been a bit better.1. Coiled cable would have helped.2. Cable doesn't seem durable hence you might wanna take care of that. These are just nit-pickings.Final Verdict:-These are perfect for music lovers and audiophiles. Not for bass-heads as these are not bass heavy as these headphones are meant for sound quality and not for bass. It is not very flat so makes music enjoyable. Delivers bass only when the song has it. Sound quality is top notch. A lot of pros and no serious cons. These headphones are solid for audiophiles. You'll be amazed. If you find this review useful then buy this using my link:- http://amzn.to/2d8E5r1It'll help me a bit. Thank you for reading such a long review. You can meet me on youtube at [...]

A well made, well balanced set of headphones that do the job, without the hefty price tag.
So, I bought these as a gift for my daughter. She really wanted a decent set of headphones and seeing as I'm a huge music buff she came to me to find a decent set. They came packaged brilliantly. The Sennheiser brand is quite well known for being producers of high quality kit and they certainly don't disappoint with these! The impedance is mid range so you get an excellent field and depth of sound for a rather good price. They're comfortable for myself as an adult, and my smaller daughter found them to fit nice and snug as well. The noise isolation is brilliant, she can often have music or YouTube videos playing at a decent volume and no one else can hear it so perfect for those that like to blast it when they're on the train or the bus. They seem sturdy (They're still plugging along perfectly after about 6 months...trust me when I say thats incredible for my daughter...) and very well made.I'd highly recommend for someone who is looking for a decent set of headphones without wanting the ridiculous Beats sort of price.
