Just what you wanted.
These work great. Some adapters don’t work well or at all, but these do exactly what you want them to with no problem at all without bulky cord issues. Nice!

The best adapter.
So far so good. I cary my phone in the back pocket of the shorts or pants with headset plugged in and this adapter works the best. I've tried several other types, straight, cables and they all break a lot faster. The cable can turn being plugged in. The best design so far and most compact. No problems with audio quality.

Very strong and long lasting!
I first purchased one of these for the iPhone due to Apple omitting its standard stereo mini phone plug/jack. The real plus is its durability over cord-based adapter. This is very stout and lasts a long time. It is made from metal and strong.

Worked fine for 2 years, then it started having a few issues
I bought this for a smartphone that didn't have audio jack, like most of the new phones nowadays. It worked perfectly for almost two years. But the constant bending made the contact not so great anymore. It still plugs in fine, it just has some contact issues, as the audio gets cut off now and then when you stumble on it or just move the phone's position. It was frustrating and it made me realize it was time for a bluetoth headphones. If can't beat 'em, then join 'em, I guess.

Good adapter small headphone jack, since it is perpendicular to phone. Make sure it will fit.
Works well. It can be a tight fit if your case is really relatively thick. An older case I had, I had to cut a little of the clear plastic away. But it first perfectly wth my new phone. Useful adapter for headphone with traditional jack. Useful too as it's perpendicular so it doesn't make your phone much longer.

Decent build quality, horrible chip, useless result
Edit: both of the dongles I received have developed another issue, just in a few months of 2-3times a week usage. Rotating the headphone jack just slightly causes the fourth pin to lose contact, and the dongle signals to the phone that the headphones have been unplugged. Due to this, it constantly pauses my music or video or whatever while in use. Even if I hold everything really still, it pauses my music every couple of seconds. These dongles are completely useless now, and seriously damage the reputation of jsaux for me. I cannot believe they are STILL selling a product this bad. This dongle uses the cheap AB13X dac chip. It turns off all the time during low level audio (such as in between speech, or soft parts of songs), and it has a delay in turning back on (cutting off the beginning of words etc). Basically impossible to listen to podcasts and genres of music. The audio quality is also pretty bad, but the constant off/on of the dac output makes this dongle almost completely useless to me. I have bought many jsaux things in the past, including their initial batch of steam deck accessories (imported direct buy, not through amazon). I thought the other items they have sold are well made and quite functional, but this was a serious miss.

Nice form factor but Middling sound quality and high self-noise.
Purchased to use my earbuds and IEMs on my iPhone 15 Max Pro to listen to music, podcasts, and audiobooks while walking or exercising. Tested by swapping between the headphone jack of my MBP and this device plugged-into the adjacent USB-C port of the same MBP. Pros: The form factor is convenient and as I had hoped/expected. It's light and small enough to keep attached to the earbuds as an adapter. Much more convenient than walking around with a DAC that's the same size as my phone. Inexpensive so I can have one for my earbuds and one for my IEMs. The I/O is tight as it should be and the materials are commensurate for the price. Cons: Significant self-noise. If you have high-efficiency/low impedance phones, the noise floor is going to be pretty high. Significant quantization distortion. Immediately noticeable on audiobooks/spoken word. It makes that kind of material particularly unpleasant to listen to. It sounds like the material is run through a bit-crusher. I'm not sure if this is a result of the device having a DAC of lower bit-depth or because the volume control relies on bit-reduction (probably the latter). Either way, it's borderline unacceptable.

Excellent gadget. I have some good wired headphones and now I can use them with my new phone. Bring on the beats.
