Dried Apples

I saw some bad reviews here from people who didn't know what they were buying. Apple Chips are hard and crispy - Apple Rings are softer and chewy and more flavorful. These are Apple RINGS. I love them. Even though they are technically called "sulfured" they don't smell like sulfur but in the bag they do have an unpleasant (non-sulfurous) odor. I don't understand why because removed from the bag they smell wonderful. I guess it's just the bag. You do get some variation in flavor from bag to bag just like you get variation in apple flavor in and out of harvest season. With that said, they are still good even when they are not at their sweetest. They are fantastic alternative to sugary sweets and it takes a bit to fully chew one and that makes them last longer. The expiration date on the bag is always more than a year out so even if you don't eat them often they will keep in a cool dry environment. The resealable zip top is a nice touch but it did break on me once and I had to relocate them to standard ziploc bag but that has only happened once.

Excellent apple rings. Great taste, tender and exactly as they should be. Will buy again.

Omg! Amazon needs a thumbs down emoji or something because in my opinion, these dried apple rings deserve no stars. I don't review often but had to speak on these. First off, it took a ridiculous amount of time to receive them - I don't know why because I got the blueberries I ordered at the same time right when Amazon said I would get them - so I was quite happy when they finally got here. I did not expect them to be crispy because they are simply dried, not freeze dried but I also did not expect them to be the same texture as a sponge. I kid you not - not "marshmallowy" spongy but kitchen sponge. Again, omg! Let me say though that the taste that came through in the 15 seconds or so I had it in my mouth was not bad at all. To me, it had that sweet tanginess one expects from a bite of a good apple. The texture though is dismal. It would have taken longer to get it chewed to a point of being able to swallow it than if I was chewing on a piece of overdone steak. So I can't use them for the purpose I bought them for. I refuse to throw them away, I paid way too much for them. I'll be experiementing to see if/how I can make them useable. These apple slices won't be purchased by me again (the blueberries though were awesome!)

Always moist and chewy and ready to eat straight from the bag, Nut Cravings dried apple rings are a favorite snack of of mine. I keep a bag at home and one in my car for when hunger strikes or when I'm stuck in traffic and need a quick bite. This bag is a great value, I even have on repeat buy so I don't run out. These are a great alternative to chips or candy - they are sweet and satisfy your cravings. The bag will last you a long time, but they are fresh the whole time!

The apple rings were good, but they were sweeter than the ones at Winco. I ordered them because there is no Winco in my area. The apple rings are a little too sweet in my opinion, but I am weird that way.

I bought these apple rings without looking at the ingredients. They are treated with sulfur dioxide. I know many dried fruits are, to preserve color, but I try to stay away from it. They are very tasty, moist and chewy. So if you don't mind the sulfur dioxide , go for it! I bought 3 bags and donated 2 to our local food pantry.

I have ordered these apple rings twice. I use them in a homemade tea. Both times I received them promptly. The bag is always full, and they are fresh. They are in a zip top pouch so they stay fresh as I use them. I enjoy the convenience of them being peeled and ready to use. A great product!

Do NOT buy these. They’re from China. Plus, you can’t return them when you find out they’re from China.
