Similar to clove as expected
This type of cinnamon has eugenol as the main compound. Many people buying it might not be aware of this. It is low in cinnamaldehyde, so it's doesn't have that hot spicy cinnamon flavor. It's a softer flavor. The flavor is very different from typical cinnamon. It's like a combination of clove and cinnamon. Nice flavor. Medicinally, it's a good clove substitute, with a better flavor in my opinion than clove oil.

Not an oil as advertised
More bitter. I put two drops in a pumpkin pie and it was more bitter than a cinnamon flavor !

Strong flavor but not ideal for food
Not the right taste for food. Amazon ad specifies it is food grade but the bottle says “Therapeutic Grade.”

Surprisingly disappointing
This is the most awful essential oil I ever smelled and taste. I cannot believe that one is Food grade. I’m very disappointed. And of course I cannot get a refund. I never make reviews cause I’m usually satisfied, but don’t get fooled with this product.

Does not taste at all like cinnamon.
I purchased the Cinnamon oil. It smells and tastes like the spice, clove. Not at all like cinnamon.
