This is a very good medium-security bike lock. I think its a good compromise between a U-lock and a heavy chain. The Foldylock allows you flexibility to secure your bike to places where a U-lock can't be used, and it's much, much lighter than chain locks. It folds up very, very compact so it's easy to toss in your bag. This is a good lock to secure your bike for short periods of time. Key work excellent, hinges are smooth and deploy easily which makes it easy to lock you bike up.

The Seatylock folding bike lock exceeded my expectations. It feels solid and well-built, giving a real sense of security when locking up my bike. The folding design makes it convenient to carry and quick to use, without compromising on strength. It’s sturdy, compact, and reliable — exactly what you want in a high-quality bike lock. Definitely a product I’d recommend to anyone looking for dependable bike protection.

I thought I was looking for a small u-lock along with a longer cable for my bike. This was to reduce the amount of room it took up in my backpack and panniers and to reduce the weight they added. (I already had a larger u-lock and cable, which took up a lot of room and weighed a few pounds.) While searching, I came across this Foldylock. It is not a whole lot lighter than my other lock, but it is more compact and mounts on my bike frame. Hence, I don't notice the weight as much. Also, it is quite sturdy. It is coated so that it does not scrape the paint on my bike frame. As advertised, it also does not make any rattling noises as I ride my bike. The price was higher than I wanted to pay, but I don't regret getting it. It has been a handy bike lock, and I carry it all the time. (I only carried my old lock when I thought I would use it was a bother to carry.) It is a quality product.

This is a great lock that is fairly lightweight, yet strong against tampering. It isn't going to provide the same level of security as say, a competently designed U-lock, but it gets the job done of locking tires to your frame. I do not suggest using these as a main lock. The lock is easy to use and manipulate, and it does per the name, fold up nicely when done. The compact model is large enough to fit around 26" fat tires plus fenders. The only issue I have with this lock is the holster. The lock snaps into it and is retained via a precise molding of the holster. I only bought these locks ~3 weeks ago, and they have slipped out and flown out onto the road twice already - and that's with no deformation of the holster, just jostling from bumps. And yes, they are attached to my frame with the anti-slip feet installed. Obviously, this creates issues for people that might be driving behind you. I'm planning on just carrying these in a cargo bag instead of using the holsters since they're so unreliable. I hope the next iteration of this lock has a better retaining mechanism that isn't so cheap. They could have just installed a strap onto these to help retain them in the holster and they would stay in fine.

Easy to use and says what it does. I highly recommend it.

Looks are deceiving... This lock is definitely heavy-duty. If you haven't noticed check the weight. Heavier than it looks. Thanks for a great product.

I bought a lock for me which has traveled the world with me. Because of this I bought another for my son. He just turned 18 and never wants to learn to drive. (That's a whole problem with my ex husband) So now my ex has refused to drive my son anywhere when they're together. I bought my son an electric bike that my ex said would be stolen quickly. It was a no brainer to buy this lock for him. He's had that bike for a year, uses this lock wherever he goes. Guess what hasn't been stolen yet? Of course it hasn't because this is the best bike lock I've ever had. It folds down quickly, comes with a holder that fits nicely on the bike or in a backpack. It's thick but not too thick. Quickly opens and closes, and is easy to thread through the bike.

We ordered several options of locks for our new electric bikes.... and this one is the winner! It attaches easily to the bike and it is light weight and not bulky. It works great and it is nice that both of these have the same key so I don't have to bring two keys when we take two bikes out.

This lock is larger than expected, but it look and feel sturdy.

Great lock. Handy attachment for fitting to frame. Much prefer this to my D lock. The cage holder takes up less room than a water bottle between the frame (see pic). It felt big when in the packet but it’s small on the bike (see pic). It’s dear but you can feel the quality. I can’t see anyone breaking into it without a lot of effort. Easy to use and enough diameter to fit round a steel bar, railing, etc. Also chained it to a railing and trolley stand, no probs. It obviously doesn’t have the length of a cable but it certainly is stronger. It is heavy, but once on the frame I haven’t noticed extra weight. The weight helps reinforce the feeling of strength. Tbf not much, weight wise, between it and my D lock. I much prefer the foldylock. Bright orange shows would be thief the bike is locked so hopefully that will deter most from poking around at the bike. 3 keys with 2 year warranty and key codes for replacing them. The key blades are proper car type keys. But small for cycling with. Defo recommend it. If anyone try’s to steal the bike, I’ll add the outcome to the review. Update - no one has attempted to steal it but a friend who works in security spied it and they couldn’t recommend this brand highly enough.
