TC Electronic Ampworx Dual Wreck Preamp Pedal

My neighbors love this pedal just as much as I do! All kidding aside, this is a great little pedal for the price. Crisp, tight, crunchy tone for days. I'm happy that I purchased one.

S teir preamp pedal. I run this into the fx return on my 5150 Iconic 80w 6l6 tube Head and the tone is tough as nails. Sounds better than the pre amp in my 5150 Iconic head and thats saying alot.

This thing sounds great. Like really great. I have tried other more expensive options on the market and this one nails the dual rec tone for less $$. No hidden features or settings available only through an app. Easy to dial in that massive, detailed sound. I’m using it as essentially a preamp into the fx return of an IR-D to access power amp simulation and the IR loader on the IR-D which basically adds 2 channels to the rig. Wish list: I wish it would allow you to switch between two red channel tones (or green). Also, if you could load your own IRs that would be the best. Maybe these options could be part of a future update? I don’t feel like I’m asking for much.

I gave you a five star review because I’m sure it’s great for someone just wasn’t the right pedal for me. But you know how pedals are very subjective to the person’s taste.

Years ago I had a friend who had a Mesa Boogie. His brother liked Marshall. I always preferred the Mesa tone. Since he there was no way could even think of spending thousands to get 1, I tried line 6 stuff. Even had a variax. Software would always find me looking for the Mesa clone. I've been playing my own style since the late 90s. Most of that time, I was looking for that tone. Enter Dual Wreck. My guitar sings through this pedal. I'll probably get slack for saying this, but I love the clean tone this pedal has. My low strings are not muddy, which has been hard for me to tame. Until now. Without changing a signal know, I can play light, and it brings. I get aggressive, and so does the growl. I plug wireless direct into the pedal. Only feeding through drum pedal, then direct to PA. I'll play around a little more with the gain channel. I mean, I have to, right

For the price, you can’t go wrong. Nice and punchy hi gain tone.

DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY THIS PEDAL IF YOU WANT HIGH DISTORTION POWER WITHOUT WEIRD NOISES, THIS IS UNBEATABLE

Have it running into a Blackstar Club 40. Sounds pretty good using as a distortion pedal but sounds best a preamp. Sounds so great for a high gain sound.
