No more slips!
These work great! Used walking in the backyard on the frozen snow. And used for running. They are fine on pavement and help you when it's slippery.

Best traction on snow and ice
Kahtoolas are the best for walking on snow and ice. These Kahtoolas stay on my boots all winter long and I wear them whenever there's a chance of slippery sidewalks. At my age I do not want to slip and fall.

Feel safe and sure-footed!
I am old and I do not run, lol. Slipping on icy pavement is a huge threat to my ability to age in place. My active dog walks/ runs/ plays at least three times a day and I need to feel secure taking him out. The Nano Spikes are ideal! I’ve used other cleats that felt dangerously slippery on dry pavement. The Kathoola nubs compress (just a smidge) into the rubber lugs making me feel secure on the icy spots as well as the dry spots. I did buy a larger size so they are easy to put on and off while standing on the mat by the back door regardless of whatever shoe/ boot/ slipper I am wearing. I’m very pleased with this purchase and will enjoy feeling safe and sure-footed all winter. I will order a pair for my husband too. He will complain at first, but once he tries them, he will be as impressed as me. Well worth the price!

Feel secure on ice
Love these! They’re not intrusive, fit my boots perfectly, and not uncomfortable on the clear pavement. They definitely grip the ice! After having a catastrophic fall down my stairs, I’m still recovering from many injuries. These make me feel very secure when out walking my dog.

Nano spikes
Absolutely an awesome product. It kept me from slipping and falling while walking the dog in the ice. Easy to put on and takeoff. The size was correct and I am very happy with it and safe.

Love!
Love these! I’m getting up there in age and can’t afford to slip and fall on the ice! These work great! I had some other older ones that had springs on the bottom and there are much better for ice!

Perfect for staying steady in urban winters
So this is a great year…Chicago is getting tons and tons of Christmas season snow. And I really do love Christmas snow. But even though I'm happy about the snow, it seems that every winter I'm bound to walk on some patch of ice and take a pretty major spill. So far, nothing's been injured other than my pride…but still!…one of these winters, I know I'm going to sprain something…or break something. I must experience on the order of ten "near miss" falls every year. So I've been meaning to get something to slip on my shoes to help manage the snow and ice for quite some time. After doing a little bit of homework, I decided to give the Kahtoola NANOspikes a try. What I was basically after was something that wasn't overkill for an urban environment…I wanted "just enough" to feel steady and safe walking…but also something that didn't feel like crampons. And I am pleased to say that the NANOspikes really fit that bill. In the city, most people will shovel…most…but not all. So you end up walking on clear sidewalk concrete a good deal of the time…but you also encounter that one person who doesn't shovel…and that person's sidewalk almost always turns into a block of ice. Or even if someone shovels, there can be some little puddle or patch of snow that turns into ice…or you can transition from sidewalk to alleyway (which never gets shoveled) and, once again, you're looking to traverse of the ice. It's that 70% clear/30% icy situation I wanted to address. And that's what's great about the NANOspikes. I feel very safe walking on them. But what's great is that the little nibs on the bottom of the NANOSpikes…the "spikes" of the deal…are able to handle concrete and asphalt just fine. They are tough little guys, they really are. And that's what make the NANOs so great…they're very lightweight and don't feel at all as-if you're walking on cleats. Now I won't lie…if you use the NANOs, you will be able to tell that you're walking on "something" that is more than your shoe…but it's not especially noticeable. I felt that I could, reasonably comfortably, walk in the city for two or three miles on them without any real discomfort. My only qualm (at least for the moment) is I find them a bit difficult to put on. However, I suspect that as I use them more…break them in, so to speak, that it will get much easier. But using them in the city…you go in and out of venues quite a bit…and these are not the kinds of things you can wear on any "inside" surface. So there was a part of me that kind of wished for some kind of "quick release". But again, as I use them more, I do think removing them and slipping them on will get easier. And I do have no complaints about the fit of the NANOs. Overall, I'm quite happy with the NANOs…they were pretty much exactly what I was looking for…something to give me that "steady" feeling even when walking on 100% ice…and yet something that is able to take long stretches of concrete/asphalt. Rich approved!

Great for running and shoveling snow
These are great for packed snow and ice. They have lasted far better than my multiple pairs of yak trax.

Brilliant accessory for hiking boots and trainers when walking in icy and snowy weather. Easy to put on and take off these are must haves in cold winter months.

These seem to be well made and fairly easy to put on and take off. They provide good traction for urban walking. Time will tell how durable they are.

They adapted well to my trainers and the feet seemed balanced when I run. A bit noisy on the road when there was no ice though.

These are the best traction wear that I have used. They are very well made and my previous pair was 3-4 years old before I wore through one of the rubber straps (I wear them daily once patches of ice stick around so they are exposed to a lot of bare pavement).
