SPECTACULAR. I cannot say how it compares to that Skil model, which seems to have almost identical features... EXCEPT, the Bosch takes T-shank blades so blade changing will be easier than with the U-shank style that the Skil uses. I replaced a very old Skil model (not as nice as the 4495 you are looking at), which took U-shanks, and after using this one, I would never go back.
