All feature high-grade wax formulas that burn clean and free of soot. The candle wicks are specially designed to maintain an even flame height, making them ideal for use in lanterns. UCO candles are equally well suited for to a variety of indoor and outdoor uses, including emergency power outages or simply providing warm, ambient light. Available in economical 3-packs or bulk 20-packs, be sure to keep your emergency kit and/or camping gear stocked with extra UCO 9+ hour candles. If you are buying these, then you will already know they burn very well and exceed 9 hours...

**Q: Can these be burned without a lantern?**
A: Yes they can, but they drip if not used in a lantern and this seller is over the top expensive @ £46.33 for nine

**Q: What is the height of the candles?**
A: From base to tip ( where the wick exits the candle) 3.5 inches, exactly as advertised by the manufacturer. As previous answers state this is 89 millimetres.

**Q: can these be used on their own without the lantern**
A: Yes that can be used with out lantern / if being used out side put into glass gar

I had assumed these would come just packed in a cardboard box, so was very.pleased when I discovered the original 3 packs and none of the candles have any damage to them.
