Works well. The hardware is great. The user software needs some work, but is effective at moving and restoring files. My only issue with the software has been how it makes you move photos from your phone library to the software storage area for the app in your phone/tablet before moving it to the external flash. Seems like an unnecessary step. Otherwise, no other issues.

Great value usb storage! I needed to make space on my phone and this was the perfect solution. It does make my phone a little hot when I use it, but it’s worth it. You connect via an app and can upload a bunch of files into folders on the usb. It does take a little while but for what it’s worth, I think it’s great.

Read the specs carefully... that 40 MB/s write speed is NOT a typo... and in use... I NEVER saw anything close to those speeds. Advertised write speeds are typically exaggerated for EVERY product... but this flash drive writes VERY S-L-O-W. Using USB C, I recorded transfer rates just over 10 MB/s high... and that was only at a VERY brief peak. The transfer rates AVERAGED around 1-2 MB/s falling into the KB/s range and regularly dropping all the way to 0/s. The transfer rate profile literally looked like waves on the ocean. Sure, this flash drive is inexpensive enough... but you definitely get what you pay for. For me, it was a huge disappointment. I bought 2... and gave both of them away rather than be aggravated by them. For comparison purposes, I've since bought another brand... more expensive, yes... with advertised write speeds at 900 MB/s. I haven't seen it fall below 177 MB/s... and that drop was a momentary spike... typically it was averaging 200 MB/s and higher. The transfer rate profile was relatively flat.... and what took the previous flash drive hours to do... took the new one minutes to accomplish. As I value my time... it was worth the extra bucks... something the buyer may wish to consider.

Plenty of space to transfer phone items over to external storage to make phone space. I like thatnthe flash port and the USB-C port both have covers to keep them protected. There’s also an adapter that’s included. the few times I’ve used it thus far, It seems like it’s stable and reliable. I have filmed a couple of videos and transferred them to my computer, and there were no issues with the connectivity. With that said, I would’ve given it a 5 stars instead of 3 except for the fact that when I record video directly to the external hard drive, there’s no pause button when you’re filming. you have to just keep filming and then you’ll have a task of editing once you’ve transferred it over to your editing program. The other alternative is for you to chop it up into a bunch of little pieces and transfer those small files over instead of having dead space. do I recommend it? Sure but make sure you know what your needs are for this item.

I’m a YouTuber and film maker and am constantly filming on my phone. It’s always a pain to upload the full quality onto my laptop via Google Drive. Sometimes Bluetooth doesn’t work reliably. This is easy! Just plug it in, open the app and important them all onto the drive stick and then into your USB’ instant and easy! Never going back to the old way!
