It works well. The only thing I notice is if you close it to tight it will not work then the blades cannot turn. Have low and high setting. This is not made for animal hair removal only for lint removal which most people are confused about and give bad reviews based on no knowladge. This is a good product for lint removal only.

This just might be one of the best little gadgets I’ve ever bought from Amazon or anywhere for that matter. There’s no reason to buy a more expensive metal lint remover as they call it. I call it a pill ball remover. Although it does remove lint, too. Not only was I impressed, I was shocked at how well it worked. I have some merino wool tops that I consider quite expensive when they’re almost $100 each from Athleta. One of them got pill balls the first time I wore it when my backpack straps rubbed all over it. The other one just gradually began to get pill balls where my arms rub my sides. I have other clothes and sweaters this happens to over time. Sometimes it happens in the wash.When I spend that much for clothes, I hate to just get rid of them. But I admit they looked a little raggedy. This little light weight rechargeable pill ball eater charges quickly and is light enough to take with you when you travel if you feel the need. It causes no fabric damage whatsoever if you keep the clothing on a flat surface a you fix it. In fact, it treated the material very gently. I could hear it eating up those pill balls. My tops looked brand new when I finished using this on them. It is so fast and easy to use and actually fun. When I bought this, it cost less than $10 but it is definitely worth more. I would happily pay up to $15 without hesitation for this particular item. Maybe more. There are others out there that cost much more that are made out of metal, but that is so unnecessary. This one comes with three blades. The blade that was already installed did not wear out on the items I used it on, and I used it a lot. Once you need to replace it, it is very easy to do. Just look at the two shirts I used it on and see how amazing it is. I am totally impressed. Instead of throwing out two expensive tops, I paid $10, cleaned them up and made them look like new. The tan shirt is the one with the under arm pill balls. The navy blue shirt is the one that had the back ruined the first time I wore it. I also showed a picture of the fuzz it removed inside the easy to clean compartment. Fuzz also gets sucked down into the handle that is easy to slide off and clean out. You have nothing to lose by trying this item because it is returnable for a full refund. But you won’t be returning it.

I have a shirt that I truly love and was about to donate it. It wasn't stained or ruined from wear and tear, or even that old. The brand is cable&gauge STUDIO that I prob purchased at TJ Maxx. It's made of 95% polyester and 5% spandex. I wore it maybe 2-3 times and it had horrible piling on it that made it look old and dirty even fresh out of the washer and dryer. I figured I could use a fabric shaver and spruce up all my sweaters and shirts that had piling on them. Boy did this shaver work! Right away I could tell it was doing a great job. I didn't even have to put it on it's highest setting either. It was on the lowest setting and worked perfectly! For such a cheap price, this will help me to reduce waste and fix my favorite clothing items I don't want to discard or donate, making it easier to save money and not keep buying more clothes! It also came with 2 extra blades. I like that it's digital, easy to use and hold in one hand, and is small enough to put in a travel bag (not airline bag, just car travelling). I don't know if it's ok to fly with, but I've never left the country for more than a few weeks and don't think I'd need to take it with me any way. For this price, if it breaks, I'd just buy another if it's passed the return window. This is a game changer! And it's electric, rechargeable, and really easy to use. I highly recommend this fabric shaver for the gentleness, effectiveness, affordability, and money saving aspect. It does have three settings, so you can use it on a heavy wool or sweater safely. I already love it!
