Piscifun Alinox 400 Baitcasting Reel, 38LB Drag, Aluminum Frame

I saw some reviews that were pretty sketchy. Made me wonder if I bought the right reel until I actually used it on my vacation here in the Bahamas. It works pretty Dan Awsome. I put line on it the night before I left and wasn't feeling to great about that but I had no choice my line didn't get to me until that evening. I put it on and just went fishing here in Bahamas and am very pleased with this purchase. The people that had bad reviews must not know how to setup the reel. I have had some backlashes but nothing that bad. And it casts a freaking mile !!!!!! I have even been casting in some pretty high wind conditions and it handles it pretty well.

This is a nice solid reel. I've only used it a few times (before being prompted to give a review), so I'll have to see how long it holds up. It's heavier than I expected, which gives me the impression that quality materials are used in making them. The reel is super smooth!

This purchase was made on an emergency I needed a left handed reel and the daiwa lexa would not be delivered on time. This was such a great deal! I can’t speak enough on it. This reel did absolutely amazing at depts of over 500’ and it performed like a $600 reel. I was skeptical about the purchase but honestly best purchase I have made. If it holds up for a few years it’s worth every penny here’s a picture next to my tranx 500 both on shimano travala’s

I have 6 of these reels. We beat the crap out these reels using heavey musky lures. Fishing on the river your going to get snagged. We usally get the expensive lure back using 80 lb braid. If you want a reasonable priced reel that will hold up buy this one. They also have a good service.

I genuinely wanted to like the Alijoz 400. On paper, it appeared to offer exactly what I needed for serious catfishing: substantial line capacity, plenty of power, a bait clicker, and a heavy-duty low-profile design. Unfortunately, after dealing with repeated failures across multiple Alijoz 400 reels, I am simply fed up with this platform and have completely lost confidence in it. My first reel developed a bait-clicker failure. Piscifun customer support worked with me, reviewed the issue, and ultimately provided a replacement. I was willing to accept that sometimes a defective reel gets through quality control and give the product another chance. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of it. The replacement subsequently experienced another true line-out clicker failure, and another Alijoz 400 in my fishing lineup developed a clicker problem accompanied by serious retrieval issues. At that point, it became increasingly difficult to dismiss what I was experiencing as one unlucky defective reel. Frankly, there is only so many times I am willing to troubleshoot, document problems, pursue warranty claims, replace equipment, and then wonder whether the next reel is going to develop the same issue. A bait clicker isn't a decorative feature on a catfish reel. When fishing multiple rods in holders, a dependable line-out alarm is an important part of how the equipment is actually used. If I buy a reel specifically equipped with that feature, I expect it to work—and continue working. Having repeated failures involving the clicker, followed by retrieval problems on another reel, eventually made these reels something I simply could not trust when a good fish finally took the bait. That is especially frustrating because there are things about the Alijoz 400 that I initially liked. I wouldn't have continued giving the platform additional opportunities otherwise. But eventually the question stops being whether a reel has attractive specifications and becomes much simpler: Can I trust it when I'm actually on the water? After my experience, my answer with the Alijoz 400 is no. I want to be extremely clear about one thing, however: Piscifun's customer-support team has been the sole genuinely redeeming part of this entire experience. Their representatives went out of their way to work with me. They requested the information necessary to document the failures, reviewed the problems I reported, offered replacements or refunds where appropriate, and repeatedly made a sincere effort to resolve the situation. I have no complaint about the way their customer-service personnel treated me. In fact, considering how frustrated I became with the equipment, their willingness to continue helping deserves even more recognition, not less. Unfortunately, excellent customer service cannot make unreliable fishing equipment reliable. I fish frequently, and after dealing with repeated problems across multiple reels, I finally reached the point where I was tired of warranty replacements being part of my fishing-equipment strategy. I don't want to wonder whether the clicker will work today. I don't want to wonder whether a retrieval problem is about to develop. And I don't want excellent customer service to be something I have to rely upon repeatedly because the equipment itself isn't earning my confidence. At some point, enough is enough. Ultimately, my solution was to move to another brand and spend the money on higher-quality equipment. I would rather pay more for a reel I can trust than repeatedly exercise an excellent warranty on one I cannot. Piscifun's customer-support team deserves genuine credit for going above and beyond while dealing with an increasingly frustrated customer. They did their part. Unfortunately, after multiple failures, I cannot say the same for the Alijoz 400.

The Alijoz 400 is a very smooth, and strong performing baitcaster for big catfish. I will be buying another soon, and I bought the Chaos XS as well. Looking forward to fishing for my next trophy fish with both these reels.

Bought it for my grandson so he can catch big fish. He loves it!

Not that great use it the other day.. it is cheap and quality is suspect. For 400aed maybe spent a big to get better quality that will last one than one season

Works extremely well, as good as any higher end units that I own. Quality is excellent and they cast and retrieve smoothly.

Amazing reel, this feels like a Shimano tranx 400H but it's 120$ and has more drag. This also has a bit more line capacity than conventional 400 sized reels so that's great!
