I don’t let it brew over 2 1/2 minutes, or else it gets too bitter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ First Time Drinking Loose Leaf Tea! *by )***) on 28 September 2015* This was a really good, yummy green tea. I've never tried loose leaf tea until now but I really adored this tea. The flavor was yummy and full, with that vague smoky tone everyone mentions really rounding it out. The caffeine level isn't too crazy high so it doesn't hurt my anxiety, and a cup of this is soothing to me. I make sure to not genuinely boil the water so it doesn't get bitter as some people have warned happens easily with green tea. Then I add a bit of honey to sweeten it out, which makes it super delicious and calming. I also like it iced or hot. I can steep the leaves twice and still get a great brew. The first time I steep it, I drink the hot cup, and save the other cup to drink iced later on. It seems like such a waste to not make another cup when the leaves steep just as well the second time. I've never tried it a third, but yeah. I also throw in the peppermint leaves from the same Tao of Tea brand and it brightens the flavor a bit, giving it a very lovely taste. It's especially refreshing iced, and settles the tummy when hot. It's great with food. All in all for the first loose leaf brand I tried, I'm super satisfied. Plus I think it's just plain cool how the leaves unfurl the way they do, although it does tend to fill up my little infuser quite easily haha.
