it really depends on the clothes. if it's a thin white tshirt and they are standing out in the rain, then yes.

Seeing a lot of old complaints- are these X-ray glasses currently plastic or paper?

Cardboard paper. I bought it as a gag gift. If you are crafty you could just make them yourself with old sunglasses. I didn't have the time.
