Can you hang them with a pendant light cord and lightbulb inside?

The lanterns are made out of felt and I don’t believe they are flame retardant. Also there isn’t any place on the top of the lantern for a cord to go through. I don’t think it would be safe to place a lightbulb inside.

Does the lanterns come with the designs cut out or do you have to cut them out yourself ?

No. The designs are not cut out and piled in separate pieces. You have to take it apart by lightly pushing or tearing the designs with your fingers. You might need scissors but just for a couple of small parts. I highly recommend that you use the instructions on the online description to put it together.

Our lanterns arrived with no directions. Does anyone have directions on how to assemble the lanterns?

I had to google and used the step by step pictures.

can this be reused each year?

Yes provided you have a place to store the lantern fully assembled. Even though the material is nice quality, I would not recommend disassembling the lantern multiple times.
