Good for backup not replacement.
My skullcandy wire was dying and I didn’t want to sauder wires and risk burning myself, so I got these. The muffled sound issue that people are having is because of the wire setup. The jack on the headphone part (not plug in) only has 2 black bands (one mic one for audio) my skull candy requires 3 bands for clear sound (one mic one left one right). This might be everyone’s problem. I personally have skullcandy aviators. I’ll keep these as a backup, but I’ll have to find one with the three bands. In the picture is the new jack (2 black bands) and the jack I’m barrowing from my friends beats (3 black bands) the plug must have 3 bands as well. Hope this helps everyone buying these. It’s not a manufacture defect it’s just not what my headphones required.

An Improvement Over the Original
When the wire that came with the original headset started crackling, I bought this as a replacement, and frankly, it works better than the original. Not only does it offer the same crisp sound quality, but it also offers the ability to raise and lower the volume of what I’m listening to. A definite improvement.

Fine except for the mic
The cord works for being able to hear through the headphones, but the microphone isn’t capable enough so others don’t hear me well.

My children ripped the first cord playing cat and mouse with the cat...needless to say the cat won. I ordered the replacement and it came very quickly. It's very thick and durable I reccomend this replacement to everyone.

Mic Quality
The microphone quality is terrible. Listening to it in playback compared to many others like it, this one is by far the worst. Its very muffled.

Broke easily
Replacement for my son's old cable he had only one channel before. Bought these and they fell apart in less than a week. He's back to using the old original cable again.
