Bought for use with Bambino Plus and it's a massive upgrade over the stock Sage tamper. Feels high quality as it's very heavy and solidly constructed. Nice smooth spring loaded action and minimal effort to achieve even tamping - really pleased with it. Looks great in white too as it coordinates with Sage machine in seasalt colour and other white accessories.

I recently upgraded to the Normcore V4 spring-loaded tamper and it’s massively improved my espresso consistency—every puck comes out level thanks to its built-in leveling plate, so channeling issues are a thing of the past. The interchangeable 15 lb, 25 lb, and 30 lb springs let you dial in your pressure preference, Residual grounds can collect between the guide base and tamper, requiring occasional cleaning.

I really wanted to keep this tamper, but ended up returning and going with the MHW-3bomber. The leveling feature, weight, and feel of the tamper was great. However, the top of the tamper was a bit too narrow, pressing oddly in my palm while tamping. I also noticed that it would tamp with too much force which was measured with a scale. I would love to see this with a more wide rounded top for ergonomics and a click sound once it hits the desired force.

This tamper is a must if you are making espresso at home. If you’re anything like me and you struggle with arthritis and/or carpel tunnel then you know how hard ramping can be. This spring loaded tamper works like a charm and requires no physical strength!
