If you hate math - watts=volts x amps. 15 amps is for the output at 12 volts - 15 x 12 =180watts. On power side at 115/120v, the amperage will be significantly lower - 180watts/120volts = 1.5 amps. No grade credit given for this online math course. **Q: what voltage dimmer would you recommend, so i can have 0 to 12 V 20A dc in the output please ? for 15m of led rolls.** A: LEDs are dimmed via PWM, not voltage. You would still use a 12v PWM dimmer **Q: would one of these be acceptable for a peltier cooling power supply** A: As long as the voltage and amps match. Been using it to power a Kenwood car stereo for the past 6 months in a custom garage radio build box. It is also running an 80mm 12v computer fan for enclosure cooling, but that pull is minimal. I've had no strange power noise coming through the speakers. The voltage was accurately tuned from the factory and with the stereo on, it remains well within an acceptable power range.
