What a great spice what did I do before I found this. A cooking friend told me about this when I said I wanted a bit more red in my grilled chicken. I used this and I love the flavor and the mild heat. No more trying to get the red I want for my grilled chicken from just paprika. I refuse to use artificial dye. The flavor has what I considered a mild hot to it and the burn is short lived, I am replacing this for the red cayenne pepper in my daily cooking. I will use the cayenne if I want something hotter. My family are whimps so they like the milder Kashmiri chili powder.

I would say the heat for this chili powder is about the same as a medium jalapeño. Or if you were to take paprika and cayenne pepper and equal amounts and mix them, about that hot. I don’t taste much smoky flavor. Seems to be a good chili powder.

This chili powder has a very fragrant and unique flavour. It arrived on time and the resealable air tight package is great. Only thing to be aware of is that is a not a mild chili powder. Of course everyone's tolerance for heat is different and it is chili powder after all. I would rate this as medium spicy. Only suggestion would be to use maybe one-third less than the recipe requires if you want it milder. Other than that I am very satisfied.

If you want to add a unique spice to your cooking, this is a good choice. It has more heat than paprika, but it's not so much that it becomes unpleasant. I put this in just about everything. It arrived well packaged, and it's a good value for the money.

Great value for a product I could not find in the store. Excellent quality, fresh tasting. Spicier than I expected. On par with cayenne pepper. Lovely vibrant color and more than I can use in a lifetime! Looking forward to making my favorite Indian dish Saag aloo!
