There is a small stiff piece of metal that you can pull up for the ring to rest on in case you actually wanted to exchange this ring w/ your SO during a ceremony, so that is very thoughtful of the manufacturer to include. For a <$30 ring, I am seriously setting my expectations accordingly, unlike some other reviewers. It is cheap enough that if something *does* happen to it, I can replace it without even batting an eye.
