It can be used to clean the skin, feathers and the cage where the mites may well be too. **Q: Can you use this as a precaution or only if birds have mites ect?** A: i would only use it if you thought there was an infestation. keep your cage or whatever you house your birds in as clean as possible and at the first sign of mites etc use it then . it says use daily for 7 days and NEVER spray onto a birds face eyes nostrils . **Q: Budgies incubation time can I spray this as I have noticed Red mites around eggs?** A: Yes, it will be fine - Caution do not use on any new hatchlings. **Q: Does it kill the mite/lice eggs?** A: Sorry can't do video. This spray worked on our budgies. Spray the perches not the birds. We had an outbreak of scale face mite last summer whilst breeding was taking place,so could not spray the birds with this problem, so early this season we took decision not to breed this year. We sprayed perches and woodwork every week for six weeks,once a week, we also put avimec on their cere and on their legs and feet for six weeks,once a week with a cotton bud, the birds look great now but this infection needs to be treated as soon as you see it.
