Superior quality squat shoes at a much lower price
I've been using these shoes now for about 6 months, squatting twice or three times a week, and I'm very happy with thems. I'd say they're a higher quality squatting shoe than the worn out Adipowers they replaced for me at 1/4 the cost (I paid $50 for these on sale v. $200 for the Adipowers at the time I bought them in 2017 and latest models are more expensive than that). The higher heel height v. most powerlifting aimed squat shoes isn't especially noticeable to me, so it creates no balance issues or any general sorts of issues with just walking around, but mechanically I'm pretty sure it has to be making it easier for me to hit full depth with my less than optimally flexible ankles. These shoes are also quite comfortable around the body of them. And they've proven very durable, look pretty much brand new still after six months. The only issue I've had with them, as other reviewers have mentioned, is that in one of the shoes of the pair the insole came disconnected soon after buying them and was shifting around in a very annoying way. But this was extremely easy to fix. I just applied some cheap Elmer's type glue of the sort you use in elementary school arts and crafts class to the bottom of the insole and stuck it back in the shoe, and I've had zero problems with it since; it's stayed durably glued in place after that one application of the weakest, cheapest glue there is (which obviously raises the question of why Nordic Power doesn't just stick a little more glue on at the factory so this issue doesn't come up).

Awesome lifters
These are some great lifters. Extremely comfy and durable, and perfect lift on the heel. No need to spend hundreds on lifters when you can get these for half the price for the same if not better quality.

Incredibly comfortable and performance enhancing
What truly shocked me about these shoes is how incredibly comfortable they were. With other squat shoes I feel suffocated and about ready to take them off as soon as I'm done with my top set of squats. These on the other hand, I had them on through my entire workout and it felt like I had sneakers on except for the elevated heel and flat sole. They look pretty slick and the quality seems rather nice. Then what really impressed me was how stellar the performance was when I went under the bar. I'm somebody with trash ankle mobility and usually prefer to have squat shoes as I like to squat high bar. With the 1.4" heel height I was able to stay upright and have minimal strain on my lower back even during my heavy AMRAP sets. Form breakdown was minimal and I was able to push through the middle of my foot and keep the tension on my legs. They also provide a lot of stability with other movements like overhead press. The folks at Nordic Lifting won me over.

Solid product, GREAT customer service.
Have been lifting in these a couple days a week for almost three months. Specifically waited to post a review as I purchased these at a steep discount and was initially worried I'd get a cheap shoe that fell apart quickly. This hasn't been the case, and aside from one concern noted below, they largely still look straight out of the box. Previously lifted in Chuck Taylor's or barefoot. I've used these primarily as squat shoes and leg day in general, though I also occasionally will use them for overhead presses or other lifts that would benefit from a more stable base. I initially purchased these as I was beginning to have knee trouble, which I attributed to a tendency to roll to the outside of my feet during heavy squats. These have done a great job of helping keep my foot in place and preventing that roll, and I can say that I do feel significantly more stable throughout the squat. I can't make an accurate comparison to other lifting shoes as this is my first pair, but I can attest that they have a solid base, are very comfortable, and have held up well with a few exceptions. Product quality is generally good with one notable exception. The metatarsal strap is fairly cheap feeling compared to the rest of the shoe, and has frayed and bit around the edges. The first pair I received had busted the stitching the first time I wore them, which appeared to be because there was a single row of stitching connecting the male and female hook and loop sides, and this rested directly on the metal buckle when tightened. It's an obvious weak point, but aside from this the shoes are very well made. I contacted Nordic lifting directly to comment on this and without jumping through any hoops they immediately sent replacement shoes to me, and even adjusted the size as I believed going a half size down would be a benefit. The customer service was great to the point that I will be going to them first for any future equipment before checking other brands. The product is solid and well worth the money, but the company producing it is what has sold me on future Nordic lifting products.

Great shoes! Helps a lot to prevent lower back collapsing and pain.
Short summary: Love the shoes. Resolved lower back pain that developed in a long time lifter. I am a size 11 EEEE in new balance. Size 11.5 EE in Asics. These size 12s are a little narrow and long, but I only wear them in the squat rack and they work well. Longer: For decades I have just squatted in whatever shoes I wore to the gym. Worked my way up to 405x2 in new balances, but definitely noticed sloppiness in the foot due to the foam being squishy and unsupportive at those weights. It was a challenge to keep the weight on the heel since the heel was squishy and I would start to toe squat at depth. So I started squatting barefoot, since that should have been great for stability and force, but I started to notice that my lower back would round in the โbutt winkโ pattern at the bottom of the lift. As you can see in the photo I do no have mobility issues getting deep into the squat, but this lower back rounding was a new issue and caused serious lower back pain to the point where I had to take 3 months off squatting multiple times. It never occurred to me that going barefoot and keeping my heels down was causing my lower back rounding and pain, but once I identified that as the problem I sought these shoes out due to their high heel stack and wider toe box. I feel better than ever and would recommend these to everyone. I only wear them for squatting and still arrive and leave the gym wearing normal shoes to prevent unnecessary use.

Fantastic Deadlift Shoes โ Highly Recommended
Iโm new to lifting shoes but not to lifting, and these Nordic Lifting MEGIN Deadlift Shoes exceeded my expectations. They arrived on a Wednesday and I got my first lifts in them a few days later. The Amazon package wasnโt in the best shape, but thatโs no fault of the seller โ everything inside was perfect. The quality is top notch: the shoes themselves, the packaging, even the thank-you card all felt premium. The shoes fit true to size, feel solid, and give a really stable base. From the pictures I expected the box to be more square, but it turned out to be narrower โ no issue, just different than I imagined. Overall, these are a fantastic pair of deadlift shoes. Iโm very impressed, and Iโm looking forward to many more lifts in the future wearing my Nordic shoes. Iโd 100% recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their lifting setup.

Solid foundation to the ground for balance and feel. Made extremely well and they work!
I am impressed with these weightlifting shoes as they are of high quality and very affordable. They will be getting used by an old lifter. I have to say the owner writes us a note in the shoe box saying he loves us and hope we love him as much!!! Wow!!! And then he says that he cares about us. This is powerful and heart felt. You will have my business. I am 71 and I have seen a few things in my life but this is the way we should do business. I really wasn't sure what to buy but after looking at reviews and the company I knew these shoes are what I need. Thank you Nordic Lifting team!! May God always bless you my dear friend!!

Perfect for wide/flat feet
I have a hard time finding shoes having a wide, flat foot with a narrow heel. These shoes feel great right out of the box! I ordered the blue shoes. Pros- very comfortable and stylish. Feels like slippomg your foot into a cloud. I felt more sturdy and stronger during squats, overhead press and dead lift. The velcro strap accross middle of shoes makes it easy to line up to the bar and contain the laces. I dont lace shoes, i like them easy to slip on and off so to be able to just velcro the strap over the laces is a time saver. Seems well made with full leather toe. Cons- runs slightly small. My right foot was 11 3/8 and left foot is 11 1/2. I wanted blue so i took risk of ordering 11.5 size shoes since there wasn't a size 12. I had to trim my toenails way back for them to not hurt my big toe, with my toes right at the end. Defintely would have to get a half size bigger if you plan to do crossfit or anything other than stationary lifts, or if you dont like your toes at the very end of the shoe and want a little space. Walking in them is fine to move around switching plates. I've only used once so durability is unkown. Seems like they are built to last though if you take care of them. In conclusion a great shoe for what its made for, lifting. Fits slightly smaller than expected so get half size bigger if you dont want your toes touching the end. No worries if your feet are wide or flat, they have plenty of room. Very happy I found a solid well fitting product right off the bat. Thanks Nordic Lifting!

Perfect fit and very comfortable
Perfect fit, true to size, and very comfortable. Out of box, the shoes look too narrow for my wide feet but once I put them on, the fit was perfect. The strap provides extra support and prevents your foot from slipping inside the shoe. I highly recommend these shoes for anyone doing heavy barbell squats.

Happy.
The product is pretty good. The only exception is the inner sole moves around. Not sure if it was meant to be glued down or not

Great powerlifting shoes
Till now I worked out barefoot but I wanted to improve my squat form by using some proper shoes. After some research I decided to buy this ones. They are great, really an improvement. I have no comparison because they are my first ones but they are absolutely great
