GENERAL INFORMATION As with all Corsair products, this power supply turned out to be a wonderful buy from a name brand - especially if you can snag it when it's on sale for just $90. PROS - Very limited noise level - almost completely silent - Doesn't crash/fail like cheap alternatives - Looks great in all-black PC builds, if visible - Built in cables are well designed - the SATA cables, for example, have multiple connectors on one cable to allow for insanely easy chaining. - Labeled cables. Sometimes, non-labeled cables can be hard to find where to place in your PC. These ones are clearly labeled: PCIE, CPU, SATA, etc. CONS - The price. It's a really nice price when on sale, but when not on sale, you can find some cheaper alternatives from non name brand companies. However, as this is a power supply, you should NOT cheap out on it. CONCLUSION I think this power supply nailed the job. It's a great supply for my computer with a 3070ti and 5800x. Really proud of this one.

A good PSU is one that does its job and goes unnoticed and that's exactly what this PSU does. I upgraded from a 500 watt evga bronze PSU after my 8700k upgrade and while the 500w evga was probably enough, I wanted something modular for cleaner cable management and the all black cables of this PSU were also a huge plus as they're much nicer looking than the mustard and ketchup colored ones of my old one. My old PSU was somewhere around $30 when I got it a few years ago and with this one being at around $100 dollars you can see the difference in quality right out of the box, it just has a high end look and feel to it with the packaging and everything. I can't attest to the actual quality of the internals but the general consensus around the internet is that you do get what you paid for in terms of the components that this PSU is made of. I read somewhere that the older RM series used high quality capacitors for the main caps but lower quality secondary caps, while the newer RMx line uses the same high quality capacitors all throughout. I guess this PSU also comes with a 10 year warranty, which is reassuring as you usually don't see warranties span that much time and most people probably usually don't keep the same computer hardware that long anyway, though I definitely think that this PSU will be able to last through several builds. As for the 0db fan, I don't think my old PSU had that feature, but honestly I could never hear the PSU fan over the case fans at low load, and at high load my GPU fan would drown out any other noise.

RM650x, 750x, 850x, SF600, SF1000, the PSUs for my current builds. Without a doubt, the RMX Series will protect and deliver clean power to your investment. Don't be builder that loses a system to a cheap PSU. With a 10 year warranty, you know the RMX was built to last. I say go one step further, and protect it all with a decent battery back up (UPS).

I like Corsair's products, they are easy and straightforward. This one does the job just nicely. And the cable management is super easy as it is modular, I only plugged in the cables I needed to use. Cable selection is also plentiful. Had everything I needed for 5 drives and a 2x 8 Pin PCI for a 3080 FE. Good stuff.

I purchased the RM750 after I got a more powerful GPU for my first build. Up until then, I had been using a 600-Watt EVGA non-modular PSU (which was great and had enough power output, but didn't have two PCIe 6+2 connections). Going to a fully modular PSU was quite convenient since I didn't have a load of unused cables hardwired into the old PSU just gunking up the space under the case. The installation was easy enough, and this PSU has more than enough connections for most applications. The thing has been working flawlessly since, and is ridiculously quiet. I have friends who have used Corsair PSUs for years and have never experienced a failure or fault, so it's odd that so many here seem to be experiencing such. Needless, to say, I fully recommend this product if you want enough power to provide for any gaming build with a good amount of headroom for future hardware that may consume more power.

This is a good power supply, it comes with anything one could need for their build, but one has to look a little closer in the description or searching the 'net about this particular model, is that it's *NOT* their top of the line model. It's the 'Walmart version of a 'Great Value' model. Still all most people will ever need...*ever*, and even will work for a few of the heavy gaming builds. I got what I wanted, it works wonderfully, dropped right in my case and fired up when I wanted it too. It runs quite cool also, I don't think I've yet seen or heard the fan running in it.

First, I will say that this power supply solved my issue of an underpowered video card. The modular connections are also nice. It comes with more than what you will need. Unfortunately, it did not come with the power connector that goes to my DVD drive, so that was disappointing, but I don't expect them to be able to cover every single configuration out there. This power supply boasts a fan system that doesn't run unless it really needs to. So, when I first powered up my system with the new power supply installed, I was instantly impressed on how quiet my PC was. However, as soon as you do anything that draws more than normal current (video game, graphic design, etc.), the fan spins up. I have worked with computers for over 30 years, most of that as an IT professional and I have NEVER heard a power supply as loud as this. (SEE UPDATE BELOW) So one has to question WHY is it so loud? I should have listened to the reviews about the noise. I figured it can't really be that bad. It can...and it is. Other than that, it seems to work great. Unfortunately, I always have this uneasy feeling that my PC is overheating because that's the only time you usually hear noise like this. Yes, because of this power supply, I live in a constant state of panic. Luckily, my headphones block a lot of the noise but they shouldn't have to. 12/19/21 edit - I recently changed my hard drive to an SSD. When I installed the SSD, I removed modifications I made to vent heat from the video card. After this change, the power supply has been running quietly with only a bit of a whirring noise when I am using heavy graphics. So, I am revoking my previous 3 stars and adding another star because it seems with the right PC config, the power supply operates at a reasonable noise level - even at a superior noise level when not doing heavy graphics.

You could have the highest end GPU, the top of the line CPU, a motherboard for the ages, and all the hard drives you will ever need, but all of that won't do you a lick of good if you don't have power going to it. That said, not all PSUs are built the same and if you cut corners by going for a PSU from an unknown company or knockoff, well, you'll probably gonna have a bad time. I got this PSU because it was the best balance between quality and price I could find. The RM750x 80+ Gold Certified specifically. As a general rule of thumb, you want a PSU with twice the watt capacity your entire build uses, both for futureproofing and to make sure you have the power you need. For most people, 550 watts will be more than enough, but the 750 watts I have will allow me some wiggle room for future upgrades. The watt capacity you want to use will depend on your build. Most people won't ever use anything higher than 1000 watts, but if you have a high end build, for example a Threadripper CPU and one or two 2080 Tis, get as high a capacity as you can afford. Energy efficiency isn't as important on a desktop as it is on a laptop (because battery), but it can make a difference for your electrical bill. Not a huge difference, but a difference nontheless. For most people, I'd recommend 80+ Gold as it's a good balance, though if you have the money you could splurge for a Platinum or even Titanium. If you want. I'd also recommend going for a fully modular PSU whenever possible, which this one is. It's better for cable management more than anything else, which aside from air flow, also impacts organization when you have to sift through cables. There really isn't much else to say, if you don't want to go for EVGA for whatever reason, Corsair is a good alternative.

Bought this power supply to replace an old aging OCZ 550w PSU that was starting to die and give system instability. The product is very well packaged and the pouch to store the wire is neat. Quality is also very good. It is good to know that this PSU is based on a CWT design. It is also rated as Tier A+ by Linus Tech Tips PSU Tier list. Installation is a breeze thought some cables tend to be very stiff at the end because of built-in capacitors. Cable length is right where you would expect it, not too long neither short. Zero fan-rpm modes is awesome, it really reduces the noise from the PC. In fact, the fan rarely spins up at normal loads. It sure starts while gaming but that's to be expected :) Very satisfied overall and I do recommend it to whoever wants a stable power solution without breaking the bank.
