Loved the story and found myself immersed within the world.
The further I read, the more I found myself enticed and before I knew it the whole world that Arianna was in eveloped my thoughts. So much so that I have bought the second book in the series. The legend of the blue eyes brings about an interesting twist to the vampire and supernatural genre and is a great read if you do like this type of story. One note however that I would give to the author... Is to go over the book once more as I found a few simple, easy to make typing errors (that I know all too well also being a writer). It is nothing major and does not ruin the story as the book unfolds in a very easy to follow and enticing manner.I enjoyed the book, and it has inspired me to take another look at an unfinished piece I began upon the same genre.Keep up the brilliant work =]

The Legend of Blue Eyes
Well 3.8 really. The Legend of Blue Eyes is a great concept and a new take on the supernatural world of vampire, werewolves and demons. It is the story of Arianna Grace, a teenage girl from a small town who resides with her adult and uncle who own the café which she helps in . On her 16th Birthday her life get complicated when she learns she is anything but a normal teenager but is actually a mix of two supernatural races - a dearg-dul ( a kind of vampire) and a baku (demon). When she begins to change into a dearg-dul she needs protected and is taken by her protective team (which she didn’t know existed) to meet her uncle, Gabriel, a powerful Baku who explains some of the secrets surrounding her life. Gabriel tells her that she must go into hiding at her grandfather’s estate to be protected while she completes her change and learns the rest of her secret. Her grandfather is also very powerful and rules four of the supernatural night human clans and has been in a feud for years with her uncle. However, they are putting their dislike for each other aside to keep Ari safe. When she arrives at her grandfather’s estate she learns that she is special. Never before has any person been of mixed supernatural race, the future leader of both the dearg-dul and the Baku clan and never before has a supernatural been born with blue eyes which remain after she changes. There is a legend amongst the clans that a powerful leader with blue eyes will have the power to unite and save the clans or destroy them. For this reason she is both feared and loved (instantly) by all who know of her. As the story develops we learn this is the reason her grandfather sent her to live elsewhere away from harm until her 16th birthday and that he has had a protection unit watch over her from she was 5 when her father died. This protection unit has been following her around for years without her knowing and its leader, her main protector is called Devin and he is in love with her. It is at this point where I think the book starts to fall apart and becomes a bit repetitive and predictable because in the middle of Ari learning and adapting to her new heritage various males come on the scene. All are beautiful and have been watching and loving her for her whole life. Following Devin is Turner (heir to a clan of werewolves) and Andrew a powerful Baku. Although some of this is understandable - Arianna requires a number of 'keepers' to feed her blood (and she needs to love and trust them before she can accept feeding of them) it reduces the books and the characters impact. As it becomes all about which males felt/ said what, their jealousy (or lack of it), lots of pouting and her wanting all of them and none of them. To me it begins to drag a bit and gets very repetitive.Having said that the story concept is good and captures the interest (I have already bought books 2 and 3 in the series) but needs some of the male characters to have a bit more impact and personality, and the romance angle toned down.

I have read so many books of this genre but never been so enticed and glued to a book. I read it in one go and enjoyed every moment. Looking forward to the next book. I highly recommend you give this a read!

Brilliant read
I absolutely loved this book - was well written and drew me in with the characters immediately. The relationship Arianna has with her guardians has been skillfully described and it was a definite page turner. Instantly downloaded the next one :)

Intriguing and well worth reading
I found this book quite slow and disjointed to start with and I thought the main character was destined to be a 'blond bimbo' type. Boy did I get that bit wrong! A bit of perseverance lead me into a paranormal world of considerable depth and intrigue The characters are well crafted, as is the story line, with interesting twists and perceptions on relationships between the 4 races of 'night humans' and ordinary humanity cunningly wrought. Very well worth the read, and I am off to the second and third in the series. One gripe, the proof reading could stand some improvement, nothing major, and certainly not enough to detract from the story in any way.
