They worked just fine for me but just in case you don't read the directions like me do not put them on leather furniture because they are very sticky and they will destroy your furniture . It's not the companies fault it's all on me because it clearly states do not put them on leather . But again they work great my cats stopped scratching my couch .

It definitely deterred the cat from scratching the couch. After a couple attempts, she never tried again. Issue is..it is VERY sticky. Everything sticks to it. Dust, hair, fabric, pillows...you name it and it will get stuck. It grabbed my pant legs several times and got caught. I decided to take it back off after the throw blanket got caught on it and it pulled fibers trying to get it off. Removing it was very hard. It was pulling couch fibers and left a permanent square mark on the fabric even after cleaning the couch. (It is microfiber) Maybe test it on back of couch for a while to see if it affects your fabric?? While it did work, I won't use it again in the future.

I’ve heard some folks grumbling about this sticky stuff being double-sided or double-sided tape. Well, let me tell you, that’s exactly what it’s meant to be! The cats are scared away from touching the couch again, which is exactly what we want. I highly recommend this product. Sure, it might look a bit matte colored on your couch, but hey, your couch is being saved! Update: Sept 2025 I use it on my bearded dragon tank since I caught one of the cats laying on top trying to attack my beardie. Photo has cat paw prints since the cat tried to climb on top again. That was last week and since then, no more new paw prints haha. This stuff definitely works at deterring cats from being naughty. Love this product and would recommend for more than just couches!!

Works great! I had to get another chair because my cats clawed up the last one,(even though they have a bunch of scratchers), and thought maybe they would leave the new one alone. I got the spray that is supposed to deter them but it didn't work so thought I would try this. It actually worked. They immediately stopped scratching. I left the film on for a while and ended up taking it off recently and so far they haven't gone back to scratching it. There was plenty of sheets so I have extras if I need to use later. I recommend for other cat parents trying to save their furniture from becoming another scratching post.

So far so good. The cat's haven't attempted to scratch the furniture, since this product was added.
